Aruba is nice, they do have some beautiful beaches, I like the Eagle, Druif and Palm beach...But when you go back explore as many as you can...It's always nice exploring the world and seeing different things.

The guide is wrong. Downtown mainstreet was dead already before the trolley because they allowed shopping malls to be built in Palm Beach (resort area) and other districts on the island. So there was no need to shop in town, or having the hassle to park your car in town. There were alternatives. In addition online shopping made its entry, people shop online and have their goods shipped to Aruba without being taxed. So it is cheaper to buy products abroad and have them shipped instead buying it from a store. Aruba made the same mistake like the USA that killed many downtown areas there, allowing shopping malls in suburbs. So downtown Oranjestad died slowly. In order to revive the mainstreet they decided to built the trolley to facilitate cruise tourists to visit mainstreet. A cruise visitor do not have to walk the distance, and it is easy hop on hop off for free. However the trolley did not help much. More stores left mainstreet. Now they are planning on building homes above the stores in mainstreet and even build small boutique hotels in mainstreet to bring some life in that section of town. It is in the planning. But ultimately Aruba's mistake was allowing malls elsewhere and not focusing on making Oranjestad the centre of it all on the island. Even the main nightlife is in Palm Beach and not in Oranjestad as it use to be.

Still looking for the Caribbean street food that you were going to show in Aruba. Did I nod off and miss it? Or was it that single solitary pastry?

Disappointed you didn't went to O'Neil Jamaican restaurant in Aruba. The food taste better than majority of Jamaican restaurant in Jamaica and I'm Jamaican.

that low crime rate sounds good, too much negative ppl nowadays ..........the patty looked good though but as stated (meat filled ) would have been a plus
