Yup. It will be huge if it is properly implemented. Can’t wait for this and direct travel to the continent. Both are huge to me… direct to Africa could even be an even bigger deal

Yep you are %100 correct, we have seen 5 hours flight from Ghana 🇬🇭 to Jamaica 🇯🇲 and Bahamas 🇧🇸 so we know it’s possible, all we need now is for those African billionaires and the ones in the Caribbean to make the investment to connect Africa to the Caribbean.

Yes, that is the next piece of connectivity. I’m currently in West Africa although I’m from the UK with Guyanese parents. I’ve been waiting to hear this news for a long while, as we all have been waiting. The food cost throughout the Caribbean is unnecessarily expensive and can easily be avoided with regional connections, every place has its own unique crops that the other needs and this builds circularity of resources, trade and economy. It’s been long overdue, Africa has the exact same issues, although land borders allow more trade than the Caribbean, inter-continental trade is very limited, needlessly. As a child of the Caribbean I am also very much looking forward to making regular trips on this vessel, congratulations to those Leaders for acting and to all of the people of the southeastern Caribbean. The other Caribbean island-states and the African continent is next 👍🏿

I took the ferry from Tobago to Trinidad a fee years ago and it was a good trip i especially enjoyed going thru the Bocos between Trinidad and Venezuela.

It's a bit late but better late than never. A friend of mine went to Guyana about 10 yrs ago and the way he described the sheer size of the country especially the rivers, caught my interest. Growing up in farming this had me thinking about - irrigation! and why are we not partnering with Guyana to reduce our food import bill from long time (I had my suspicions why), and even further afield Brazil, fast forward to today. It took Venezuela's aggression to make the rest of caricom realize how critical a role Brazil could play, in terms of Mediation which then led to talks about Fertilizers, livestock, overall food cost etc... lol hence Pres. Lula da Silva being at the last caricom heads of government meeting. Now it's time to move goods!

It definitely will be great for the Caribbean, I remember over 30 years ago the Caribbean was more self sufficient and we used to produce a lot more, but for whatever reasons now we get everything from the USA 🇺🇸 it’s so bad that we are getting chicken and eggs from the USA, I hope is that with this new connection the Caribbean can do more inter regional import and export and farmers can go back to work.

I agree keep it within the region. ❤🎉

Yes it is, I most say that the Caribbean has a very successful ferry system we just need a big system to join the islands. Very successful system in Bermuda 🇧🇲 Trinidad 🇹🇹 and many more islands across the Caribbean. What we need now is one that will connect the Caribbean.

Ahahahaha honestly It's a very gud idea, Although I am really afraid of water, I support it 100%, Honestly I will think seriously about visiting my CB Radio friends in the eastern Caribbean, Watching from Jamaica west Indies !!

This is a very good idea and would be excellent for uniting the eastern Caribbean islands. However we are a bit late in this regards because they have been running these kinds of fast ferry services in the Far East for decades so this can definitely work if it is coordinated properly but better late than never.

If the cruise ships and other vessels manage, so will the ferry service. Hiccups will happen as they progress and that’s ok because they will improve. I’m pretty sure they know what they are up against. 🤗🇻🇨

Cant wait.. we use to ferry to trindad and barbados at one point.. ai myself went to trindad on persia 2.. tjhe same people who tslking about climate change all jump on their private jet to go talk about it.🙄.. moving along,..😂i want my country to be a part of this. I want it ot be a fleet owned by caribbean people. I seriously want our countries to embrace inter island tourism than internation tourism.. i will talk about it for real.

I’m not against cruise ships, the point is people can’t be against a ferry service in the Caribbean and at the same time support cruise ships coming to the Caribbean.

First of all you should know what is the meaning of MF and MV do some research!!!! There's a reason why cruise ships are monohull ...there's stabilize in and under the hull and it is easier to stabilize one hull .....than to try with two..people who go on cruises don'tcomplainabout bad whether...don't get me wrong...i for it.....but with the right vessel, in this modern day we still trying to cross seas with a Canon ......come on guys you all can get it right the frist time . PS what Trinidad know about the sea
