I wonder if the pants need a rise adjustment. Then the waistband will sit properly. I think they look good! It looks like you like to wear your trousers at your waist, so I can see the two casings working.

I considered a rise adjustment, but then I thought… if I shorten the rise, they’ll certainly be in my buttcrack 😂 and if I lengthen the rise, then the crotch will hang down too low and with the cargos already being baggy, it won’t be a good look. I’m going to try the two casings and extend the length, and see how that goes.
I think just because they are pants makes them not fall in the beginners category. I sort of agree. Pants probably shouldn't be someone's 1st time ever using a sewing machine to make a garment. Shorts or skirt maybe, but not actual pants and shorts are pushing it honestly. IMO LOL

I think pants are much simpler to make, but I can totally understand your point.
Congrats on ticking off another Make 9 box! Crazy that the pants are rated average but the blouse with buttonholes and collar was rated easy. 🙃
