Day hasn't won anything besides the Golden Globe (which in itself is not usually a reliable award to predict the Oscars by, I mean Jodie Foster didn't even get a nomination this year despite her GG win) and all major televised awards were won by a different actress, one of them by Mulligan. Anything could happen.

She is a great actress who seems to choose her roles very carefully. Aside from Great Gatsby and Drive, she's mostly done Arthouse and indie films. Seems more interested in being a working actor doing roles she likes than an A list star or Hollywood celebrity.

You know those two black Women are not going to win a Oscar for lead actress. It ain’t going to happen. No Hollywood tries to say it’s not racist. It’s racist I saw all the movies that all the women are nominated. I thought Vola played at the part. I didn’t buy it. I thought the woman her talking. She played a white woman who wasn’t a victim. Which is so usual for that and it was okay. McDorman, spelling her name wrong. I thought someone shoot me. I don’t understand why she’s here. And I saw Billie Holiday and she was incredible.
