Got to set off my campuses fire alarm system today for the last drill of the year. Activated the system with the Notifier NBG-12LX by the main doors, got to film the annunciator and the panel along with the reset. Thanks to the school administrators and custodial staff for making this happen! Please leave any questions in the comments below.

Side Note: At 1:56 I went to hit "Acknowledge" because I didn't want to hear the panel piezo, and I think the staff member thought I was going to reset the system. I learned I have a habit to acknowledge the panel immediately once the cabinet door is open. Felt kind of embarrassed lol

When she says may I have your attention please it sounds like the voice for my school fire alarm she says "may I have your attention please a emergency has been reported in the building while this report is being verified please leave the building using the using the exit stairway do not use the elevator use the stairway only do not use the elevator use the stairway only" and repeats it until they turn it off

Probably single gang boxes. Wanted to reuse wiring. My school is the same.

To keep people from re-entering the building while the classroom checks are being performed.

They actually check classrooms? Here they don’t really do that. Teachers will take attendance, but if you are one of the last groups to arrive at the evacuation area, they won’t wait for you to sound the all clear. As soon as the last student is to the evacuation area, they send us right back in. Usually takes about 200 seconds to get all 3200 students to evacuation areas. Teachers can submit attendance after the drill if they want, but they don’t really care. Teachers aren’t supposed to stay in if they are on prep, but many do. Some students will hide too lol.

Not sure what it's called but is a very interesting sound compared to other systems. The panel is Notifier so it's something in their tone library.
