I think you guys have done a great job. I enjoy all the features that cardo has , I have one feature that I think that is missing from the application for Bluetooth mode. When you are pairing for a new device from your phone you have two options: pair or reset. I think that it would make a lot of difference if you have a third option “Select from List” Because every guy that I'm pairing with I am changing the name and I know how I am paired to, but every time I have to pair him again. So if you have the third option you're just selecting the guys that you want to pair to for the list and of you go Without any procedures. My cardo is the 4X and now i want to move to the NEO

Three things I'd like to see: PTT activation, so you don't have to "hey cardo mute mic, hey cardo unmute mic" - just push a button on the handlebar when you want to talk - wirelessly connected, and you can plug a charger into the bike so it never dies. The one for my ham radio lasts about a week though. Headset and charging able to be simultaneously connected, so I could use one of those cell phone power packs in my pocket to get way more time (not that 13 hours is entirely unreasonable, but that's optimistic too) A kit for a car - preferably android auto enabled. So I can stick an antenna on the roof, and use all these features from inside of a car without a helmet. Would be great for a chase vehicle. I don't mean a headset with a cardo on the earpiece, I mean the antenna unit OUTSIDE of the car where it can get halfway OK range. Bonus points for being able to connect more than two devices, so I could hook it up to my bikes tablet, my phone, and GMRS / ham radio simultaneously. I can get a LOT more range out of those than a mile - it's just not private or as feature packed.

The Older Packtalk +bold you sat around the table, got them all flashing red purple in DMC mode and one presses the pair button for two seconds and became admin they all joined. No app necessary. We have an Edge rider and we can’t get him in to our group easily.

the Edge also has it, but the Neo is basically an Edge without the convenience features, so: it has no magnet, you can’t charge it while riding, and you have to plug/unplug the cable every time you put it on or take it off. it’s substantially cheaper than the Edge, so it may be worth it for some people to give up these features while keeping the same core functionality.

The mount on the edge allows you to charge your Cardo while using it which is fantastic for long rides which also would mean that the 3 year warranty would benefit that too. So it’s always a good idea to check the comparisons. I don’t know how much of a price difference it was 7 months ago but the cost difference from what I can see now between the Edge and Neo is only US$40.

I’m baffled by the design here - why not plug the usb-c cable into the cradle instead of the unit itself, so that it stays there and doesn’t dangle even if the unit is removed to charge? when the unit is clicked on, the data transfer between the unit and the cable should be done via connectors between the cradle and the unit. I can’t imagine how they could have possibly arrived at the current design decision instead of this infinitely more intuitive one.

I honestly find the decision with the audio connector directly into the unit kinda stupid, a real design flaw. Why couldn't it be directly added into the cradle as in the freecom lineup for example? I get that you didn't want for the NEO to have the same features as the EDGE (charging while riding and magnetic connector), but you already went ahead and slightly changed the design body of the neo...why not simply add the pins to it so that rider doesn't have to always do a two step job when connecting the unit in the cradle. Let's say I forgot my unit at home..than I would need to ride with that stupid cable dingaling around.

So...-Cardo is STILL still sporting speakers in the helmet and no support for bluetooth earbuds. A smart phone and a couple of noise-cancelling bluetooth earbuds are far, far superior to a Cardo solution. And who wants to destroy their own hearing with super-high volumes to hear thru traffic and road-noise, when you can get a decent pair of earbuds for a quarter of the price? With much, much better sound? I bought a cardo kit ten years ago. That had about the same features as the one in the video. Kinda says it all. Same shit, new wrapping.

    1. How does the smartphone-earbud solution provide comms? 2. Surely the sound quality would be epic (can use wired earbuds with this system as welll) but on a call FOR SURE the wind noise would be atrocious for the person you're trying to talk to, you know this, 3. To my knowledge, no company in this space (as of this post) supports pairing to Bluetooth earbuds, open to learn about who is, 4.
