    Professor u are absolutely BRILLIANT and I want to thank you with all of my heart for being so generously kind to help others with horrible instructors (like myself) to get a clear understanding of A&P as well as Pharmacology. Without your lectures I don't know how I would make it through nursing school. You are the Michael Jordan of education and I appreciate you so much! Again, Thank you.

Many of my classmates also watch your videos, many of the drug mechanisms are the same as well as the physiology. Thank you for your dedication and love for education..your enthusiasm is contagious. I still jump every time I see nervous system videos when you mention neurons "synapse" 😁 🤗

    Great Video, however it has been shown that increasing the dose of Thiazide and Thiazide like diuretics has no added benefits, the drugs commonly titrated up to the maximum tolerated doses are ACE Inhibitors, ARBs and Beta Blockers.

    While you are not testing on drug names, please don't diminish the importance of learning the portion of the generic names that will help students on their boards such as knowing the ACE's end in "pril" and the ARB's end in "sartan." They may not need to know it for your exams; they will need to know it for their boards. It doesn't hurt for them to start learning now.

    I'm curious why those with high BP don't just donate blood periodically to keep it down. (I'm learning about BP and it's regulation because mine is way too low (80/58 the other night - 90/60 at doc's office - while on Dexedrine for my ADHD) and that's how I got here.) I joke with a hypertensive neighbor saying "gimme some of your blood so we both feel better" lol. (I am starting treatment now for POTS - cardiologist diagnosed - which may be related to my Lupus/MCTD). Anyways, I think the Red Cross would appreciate more donors and I wonder why it's not advocated. Thanks:)

  • @professorfink

    @professorfink

    remedyfarm To help you understand the fallacy of donating blood to solve the problem: IF you had a fever, why don't you turn-on the air conditioning in your home and lower your fever that way. Turning-on the air conditioning does not treat the underlying cause of the fever (possibly an infection). And donating blood to lower blood volume & blood pressure does not treat the underlying cause of the problem.
