    As an internist again I want to congratulate you on your vast amount of knowledge and how well your grasp of medicine is . I am watching all your videos for my ABIM recertification board review and I am just loving it . One thing I wanted to share with you is that I honesty believe all medical students preparing for USMLE and even us physicians studying for either certification or recertification will benefit from your videos and I wish there was a way for your videos to find the medical students and physicians as well Your understanding and knowledge of medicine is much higher than an average physician. Please keep up the good work and make more videos for everyone . Thank you

    I'm 1 week out from my PANCE and I tried REALLY hard not to cram, but here we are lol. I love your hearing your chuckle after giving us a mnemonic. We all know the despair of trying to remember all this info but the mnemonics do help, regardless of how far fetched they might seem. THANK YOU!!!!!

    3 days from my PANCE and have watched your videos countless times over the past 2.5 years. Your videos are amazing and they have helped me immensely!! You have helped so many students and PAs! I just wanted to let you know that your amazing videos are so appreciated! I like that you give a little patho/background to help make sure we understand it too, not just memorize it. THANK YOU!

    Another way I memorized S3 with systolic and S4 with diastolic was by their syllables! Systolic has 3 and diastolic has 4, I hope that helps :)

    Would you be able to explain why hypertrophic cardiomyopathy has an S4 - in my mind S4 is associated with diastolic hf, whereas in hypertrophic cardiomyopathy it appears to be more of an outflow / systolic issue? Thank you so much for all of your work@@cramthepance

    Thats good. I also use the shape of the letter - S in systolic looks like it has 3 horizontal lines; D in diastolic looks like it has 4 straight lines

    I thought PE- (Pulmonary Edema) is mostly associated with Right-side heart failure, in your video, on min 4:02 you eluded left-side heart failure symptoms as PE? Mind clarifying, please?

    The part of the video you are referring to I state that peripheral edema is seen with right sided heart failure, not pulmonary edema which is more commonly seen in left sided heart failure. Let me know if thats what you mean, or if there is anything else I can help with. Thanks!

  • @cramthepance

    @cramthepance

    Remember, pulmonary edema,= fluid in the lungs, is more commonly seen in Left sided heart failure (Left sided=Lungs), and peripheral edema (swelling in the extremities etc) is more commonly seen in right sided heart failure as the fluid is backing up into the rest of the body.
