Well , I have never really made time for prayer a priority. But after listening to Mark, I realised how important it is to make time for prayer and reading the Bible. Mark sleeps at 7.30pm so that he can get up early at dawn and spend time with the Lord . It is just like Jesus did too. he woke at the crack of dawn and goes off by himself to spend with The Father. That is real commitment.

I admire how devoted Mark is to God, and I realize more than ever how you have to make time for God. God is on my mind daily, but to set aside time for prayer , and read the Bible is so important. I struggle with certain situations and people in my life, and when I stray from prayer or going to church, things are so much harder, especially hope in knowing things will get better . You have to stay connected because I feel it makes you weather the storms of life with the armor of God on. Pray in numbers is even more powerful too.

So blessed to have been in attendance at this event. Mark Wahlberg was inspiring when he said how much of a priority he makes his quiet time with our Lord. It was such a privilege to be in the front row and the whole event was amazing. I loved hearing from all three speakers about the beauty of our faith and it felt good to see the Church reaching out to my generation! I look forward to more events, CatholicChicago!

Very happy to share this conversation with friends from Portugal in a time where family and communities needs are so forgotten. There is always someone in need and we can always do our job. It gives you hope in the world.

As someone raise from a very mix denominal christian background and have not identified as a christian in years, Cardinal Cupich sounds such a gifted orator. Chicago, you are lucky to have him :) Love from Australia
