Wake up around five, and I’m working this day job.
I dirty my clothes, ache in my bones
Nobody knows, I guess that’s how it goes.
But I do it all, just to get on home to you.
Busy calling the shots and she’s gettin’ it right,
At just two pounds light.
But I want you, to call my own
Because it’s been a while, since we started to grow.
Am I ready now? Yes I’m ready.
Am I ready now? Yes I’m ready.
And I’m ready now, just to get on home to you.
Things are getting real late,
Am I really ready for what comes next?
But I want you to call my own
Because it’s been a while since we started to grow.
Am I ready now? Yes I’m ready.
Am I ready now? Yes I’m ready.
And I’m ready now, just to get on home to you.

That is how I want to hear a band. No edits, no smoke, no mirrors, having fun with a groove and a lot of love in the room! superb!
Tight AF
I made stank face the entire time. DAMN! The world needs more of this.
This is so Otis Reading - love it. Pure soul. Done right.
The greatest 🙌 THIS is what it's all about. Real musicians. Real singers. No autotune. Just pure talent in every one and just to cap it of Tay smashed the backing too xxxx

@@harrypiggot2244 Her name is Tay Cousins. She does some of her own stuff and also does backing for Cardinal Black when she can. She was present on about half the tour they recently finished and with them supporting Peter Frampton.. she's a great singer and such a lovely girl to talk to
Can't stop coming back to watch again!
This is the most intimate live performance I've heard since I stood three feet in front of Dwayne Allman in the summer of 1970.
Your singer is the real deal Chris this is epic
You've got a GREAT band there, Chris.
The lady is a great part of an already outstanding lineup! She’s kinda cute too!

Watch the warm love studio video, Tay is in that too.. Great singer
Ain't nuthin wrong with that
Killer!
magnificent 🥸
Anyone who want to be a real musician should take a look at this. Outstanding performance!!
Absolutely STUNNING!! This track will always have a special place in my heart! Can’t wait for the Newport show, be great to come and say hello to you all again!! 👍
What a soulful, old school, powerful, Motown, vocal. Killer dude.
"For better of for worse"? Pretty damned impressive, I'd say.
Yes. Fuck yeah. Yes.
wow. i'm impressed!! can't wait to see these guys live in Omaha Saturday 7/13/24
Fantastic. Roll on Huddersfield on Wednesday.
There needs to be more music like this. Chills, goose bumps, floored by the vibe. No over production, just feels and emotion. That tempo change. Its like we're in the room with you.
blew my mind
OH MY! That bass is epic. Love the whole band! By far the best band out there now, in my opinion.
Wooooooooo 🥳
Claps for you, boys!! Come to brazil!
Sweeeeeeeeeeeet…!!!
pretty cool Chris.
Take us to church!
Somehow, Otis Redding has been reincarnated in Tom Hollister and it’s amazing. Great tune. ❤️
That is amazing.. No auto-tune. Not a dozen song writers. Just real, soulful musicians just getting after it. I love this.
Saw these a few weeks ago at The Old Woollen in Farsley and they were fantastic. Plus a lovely bunch of people.
C'mon Guys.... Stop Teasing. Get This Album Out For Release! The Anticipation Is Too Much.
Awesome, just....awesome.
IMHO, Occam’s Razor never had a finer application than in the Telecaster. Popularly, it goes something like ‘the simpler, the better’, or ‘don’t overcomplicate’. But when you actually read what Occam wrote, it paraphrases better as ‘make it only as complicated as necessary’. There’s the Telecaster. Damn near perfect.
All that OUTSIDE of Mussel Shoals??? Hot damn, son!
This track would sound epic on “later with jools”
this is all unreal, but that solo sent me into different realms - ridiculous
Man, Yamaha couldn’t throw you an SA2200? Jk love the vibes!
well, I'm ready for this album.
Good god that’s beautiful
That was HOT!
Yeah!
Tom’s song brings my memory back to B B King and Joe Cocker, at the same time. Great music!
That is fantastic! 😎👍. It’s reputed that Frank Sinatra could judge the distance from the mic to such a degree that no matter how loudly or quietly he sang, the VU meters on the console always stayed right in the middle of the green! This was from an engineer who recorded him a couple of times and was utterly amazed as he didn’t have to touch a fader at all……….oh, and he did it on Take 2……in fairness, he did it in Take 1, but the engineer didn’t hit record, assuming he was warming up. He got a Sinatra “look”, and made damn sure he hit record the second time! 🤣😂 This reminds me of that story 😎👍
Hell yeah 🤟🏻
Wow! That was REALLY GOOD!!! It is great to see young people making great music, playing real instruments, with some real soul!
Way too much talent in that room...
Cardinal Black!!!! Very very nice!!! Great 🤟🤟🤟🤟🤟🤟🤗🥰
Killer!!!
This is legitimately good
Chris, Tom, the Boys and Tay, I just sent this to Rick Beato to get before his 3.2 million followers! You need his audience and they need you!
Cracking song, Need more shots of the bassist.
F##k YEAH!
Wow, that song just kept getting better and better!
Great performance! I was expecting to hear a Freddie King song.
Outstanding.
Fantastic! You guys are kicking ass!
Mmmmm... loving the tasty Led Zeppelin-ish vibe on the drum sound
Yes, I liked this………..a lot!
this is the sorta stuff that should be in the top 40
Holy shit real music!!!!!!!
Brilliant. Enough said.
Just freaking marvelous! I just hope you guys do another take where the two back-up singers just get 4 or 5 inches closer to the mic. That's the producer in me talking. I am very impressed though. Doing it this way is very brave. Very brave indeed and I applaud you for it! More bands need to try this.
So good guys, come across the pond please.
Rockin' 👍
Damnit!!! Love!! Can we get you guys to come to Nashville, TN?🤞😂
The songwriting here is the most mature thing you’ve been involved in Chris. No-one doubts your ability behind a guitar, but it’s great to see you in a band where you really gel, really looking forward to the album.
10/10
Ooooo Yas, You REaDDDDY ! ! !
Bravo friends,awesome🙃😂⚡️✨😎✨⚡️🙃
Holy Crap that was good.
The Room Sound is EPIC!
Most excellent. Reminds me of that record the Cowboy Junkies recorded using a similar technique. There's just something to a single stereo (or even quad) mic, in one spot.
So awesome to watch these legends in the making on their rise to superstardom. Akin to being a fly on the wall when Led Zeppelin were recording in the late 60's. Thanks for taking us along Chris.
An Album coming out ... Can't wait...!!!
Bad ass!
This is fucking beautiful!
Waoo la claque, j'ai le poil qui se hérisse tellement c'est jouissif. Bravo à eux
Wicked !
That'll do boys, that'll do!
I hope Cardinal Black can start a revolution by taking what is new and making it old again. Music as it should be: REAL.
Holy.....shit..........
I just got punched with Soul and Blues and it knocked me out!!!! Fantastic!!
A true Masterpiece. Thanks!
Noiiiiice!
Great song ! You have to come to Montreal!
Fantastic recording and performance. I love how this old school mic technique influenced how every sound source was situated in relation to the microphone. The amp was elevated higher than normal, and even the lady singer was getting a boost by standing on what looks like a dishrack. Chris, you sound great through that Deluxe Reverb, and the ribbon mic perfectly captures the in-the-room vibe! All the best on the new album.

I have a suggestion to get a modelling version of Duane's tone:. Start with a plexi 50 watt amp (JTM 45s can also be dialed to sound a lot like Duane's Bass plexis). Choose a jumpered version of the amp model, if possible--as close as you are likely to get in the digital realm to using a Duane-style Y-cable). Dial down the amp presence. I find the secret Duane sauce is your choice of speaker IRs. I ike a using a mix of Celestion closed-back G12M30 (55 Hz) speakers with open back JBL D120s, as a slightly panned stereo IR. That IR/speaker mix makes me rethink the amp tone stack settings compared to using more common IRs. The folks at Redwirez made a great IR mixer/convolver that let you export stereo mixed IRs to use in modelling hardware like Kemper. Redwirez just closed its doors after many years, like a week or so ago. Maybe you can find a copy of their MixIr3 software. Failing that, many modellers or convolvers have some capacity to load more than one IR. Cheers!
How can I simulate this in my DAW? Fantastic job Chris and Co, and I'm only half joking about the home studio part.
Raw talent and killer performance aside. Ya'll look like you're having FUN! Brilliant!
What a treat. You can just feel the fun they had with this performance, and Chris never ceases to amaze me with his solos.
Holy crap! Great all around, but damm, what a vocal!!!
Looked like great fun 🤩
Mr Niven. They're ready NOW. more than ready . Do your thing and make these wonderful musicians and singers worldwide stars. TH3 was a preview .. Cardinal Black are the real deal.
Mr buck, you’re FCKING that fretboard!
Ah yes, best video of the week-end for sure, real live , réal talent , thanks to the bend
Awesome people here….!!!
Good night all!
WOWSER!!!...
Sounds great, da iawn. Make sure you listen in stereo: the BVs in particular were lost in mono on e.g. a Bluetooth speaker, at least for me.
