its always sad to see a post-paperist structure go, "less is not more and more is not more, carboard is more" - John H Ccardboard, 1974 on a meeting about the rendering of the new cardboard tower

What a tragic event, I was born after the event but seeing it unfold on KZread really openned my eyes that cardboard city isn't what it used to be anymore after such a devastation lost. Condolences to all of the victims that where effected by this event 🙏 😢

I can only imagine the amount of time that was spent drawing on all those little windows! Great video as always, thanks for all the amazing effort you guys put in 💜

Well done, literally and figuratively! This vid came up in my recommends, so I clicked on it and watched...and now I'm hooked. As soon as I started watching, I subscribed. Absolutely love this! Scanned through some of your video lists on your home page and decided this is different enough from everything else I watch and it's interesting, while it includes the humor! Keep up the good work, Chloe. I'm happy to be aboard (just don't sink the ship I'm on! lol).

Hello... this is one of Cardboardians. Everyday, something like this happens, a flood, or explosion, fire. This is a nightmare, I am now in the Rescue helicopter. I wish good luck for my brothers in Cardboardia, they havent get in the rescue helicopter yet. And the all the Cardboardians, there are still some Cardboardians suffering in Cardboardia. I was one of the people seeing this explosion, And the Cardboardia Village is flooded, totally. Everything there is destroyed, we can't stand a chance.

2:59 Theory: Since its right beside the Cruise Line office, I'd say it was an attack to spook the cruise lines into stop making dangerous ships that kill hundreds. With the cost of probably the same in that building alone.

@@KitKitChanIsaac Yep, the building probably had colleagues of the cruise line, so they will stop manufacturing the ships dangerously. Come to think of it, they will also probably stop making dangerous routes to the Antarctic and the waters of Arizona in summer. This attack was probably done by a bomb, since a fire is too weak to cause an ENTIRE BUILDING to collapse Or, the skyscraper had no people inside, and it was a attack, yet it caused more fatalities then a small fire due to it collapsing next to buildings.

Seriously, reading the comments confirms that this work touches viewer's souls. Claws and gnawrs at them, actually. One feels privileged, yet vaguely endangered, to see the artist's works somehow make demolition an act of creation. Congratulations, I think... _(Checked your channel page. I hear that Full Sail is a great school. Rhode Island School of Design, Sheridan in Canada, Cal Arts and USC - I saw portfolios from those schools when I had a bitty animation studio. Good for learning and Teaching opportunities, depending on what stage you are. Seems you have a clear vision of what you want to do, and maybe you are where you want to be, reaching and building an audience. Dallas, and Texas generally, seem to have a thriving Community. Plainly (sorry) you can develop your ideas wherever you find yourself. But finding other folks to work with, swap ideas and inspire and entertain each other is great fun._ _It was something I really missed when I was the only animator/filmmaker/cartoonist I knew for hundreds of miles.)_

It always hits so hard when the music starts coming in and I CANT. STOP. CRYING.

I love those sound FX. Your cardboard is amazing.

The start did evoke memories of the twin plumes of smoke emanating from the two towers on 9/11. Had the damage and fires not caused an implosion, the fires would have migrated further down the buildings possibly leading to a worse collapse of just this kind. This was a realistic and well constructed disaster simulation.

Back in 1993 there was a bobbing near the hotel (3rd building out of seven World Trade Centers) there was an attack a bomb was in the garage below. I was trapped in an elevator for a long long time! I was starving the entire time.Pitch black in that elevator.

Huh, I found this channel again after a few years and wanted to see the old cardboard ships. Great timing haha!

I watched your old sinking ship videos a very long time ago and it has inspired me to do the same (sinking cardbord ships)

I had no clue you still did videos! I remember your OG cardboardia videos i used to watch that when i was 13, now its my 20th birthday and i run into u again. WOW

This is like a childhood dream come true. The cardboard city, not the fire.

Me and my family were just there for a holiday get-together.... And to see this now all over the news... ah its hard to put into words. This disaster was unforeseen and may all those who perished with it rest well, this cannot ever happen again...

Honestly at first, I thought it was table-top size, but when you had to back up because it was falling, I didn’t realize that it was basically taller than you! That’s awesome! The perspective was done so well. And the sounds made it seem bigger than it actually was.

been seeing you since the lockdown started, when you had a default profile picture! Kepp up the good work (3 years and still havent subscribed, probably should)

Great sound effects. I am a sculptor who made all my furniture study pieces out of cardboard, before committing to the final materials. However, I love corrugated cardboard so much, that built a few furniture pieces all out of cardboard. I added mixed media, including paints, and used spray adhesive, to adhere foam rubber, to them. If I needed something to be sturdier, I would integrate some plywood within, and covered it in cardboard.

Gross mismanagement by the Cardboardian department of transportation for their lack of accessible roads leading to the skyscraper, preventing emergency services from reaching and rendering aid to those poor victims inside. The citizens of Cardboardia should demand a full investigation. My thoughts and prayers go toward the victims and their families during this difficult time. R.I.P.

Despite the whimsical nature of your videos, I can tell it actually takes a lot of work to construct these cardboard props that makes it all possible. Great video. Once again, I have to give your video a thumbs up.

This is *WAY* better than anything Disney has put out in the last few years. I love it.

I don't remember how exactly several years ago I came across this channel on youtube with the videos of the cardboardia sinking, but I keep watching these videos and I always see the new videos and I like them a lot

I grew up watching your vids. It's amazing how much better you've gotten!!

this brings back childhood memories. I used to do stuff like that. Cardboard planes, robots and buildings + fireworks.

I love how the channel is expanding outside of cardboard ships. Keep up the great work!

It is especially gratifying to see such reMARKable levels of craft in the delineation of architectural indications, visual planning, camera angles, and the psychological tension created by the hints, then gradual, teasing revelation of the inevitable catastrophe. The Cardboardia State Building was considered the beating heart of Cardboardia City. It was a towering structure of cardboard that was filled with bustling offices and employees during working hours. However, one day, a devastating fire broke out in the building, causing panic and chaos among the workers. Many Cardboardians were unable to escape, and many lives were lost in the horrific blaze. After the fire, a long and arduous investigation was held to discover what caused the fire and how to prevent future tragedies. But for the Cardboardians who lost their loved ones, the memory of the fire would always remain.

Found this by accident, bloody very impressive content. Love how we don't know how tall these buildings are in real scale.

Wow imagine how many workers that took to build in real life, Such a amazing cardboard building.

"OHhh !!!.....the humanity!!" This is more convincing than 90% of the CGI that's out there right now; that last minute Steady-Cam panning shot was inspired. The dramatic music, faint British sirens & traffic sounds really sells it.....you've got a future in Hollywood kiddo.

I remember watching this on CBTV1 (Cardboardia Television 1). I was waiting to watch my favorite Christmas film, when all of the sudden, the news program came up and showed live footage of the incident. I am forever traumatized.

What a tragedy. Thoughts and prayers are with the families of the deceased during this time of grieving.

Chloe, this is terribly great! It makes me feel in a real distaster, even though it's just a scale model set on fire. And the camera, and that clip when the building falls and the camera rushes back it's so realistic and chilling and those parts falling from the building, the sound, and the aftermath looks great, and it feels nice especially when beside a headquarters building of cruise line- uh oh did they mean to threaten the ship builders to stop making the dangerous ships? Man, I'd love to rewatch this every now and then. And the little windows look cute! Poor cardboardians working and sleeping and roaming inside the building. A few suggestions: little firefighters spraying tiny but fine sprays of water, small from human scale, and not enough to actually kill the fire that's destroying the building in the scene. The firefighters are just gonna be part of the scene. It looks nice. And the aftermath would love to see them trying to kill the fire. Keep up the good work CHLOE! Would be nice to crash a tiny model airplane on a cardboardian tower like 9/11.

This was very reminiscent of the fire that happened in the Joelma building in São Paulo in 1974. At the time it was considered one of the worst fires in history, not because of the number of victims.But because of the reason the building caught fire That was a small detail, the building was made against fires but this protection only worked while the building was empty.And your little problem is that the building was not empty, it was occupied by offices, these banks and as it was an office, people took equipment that was completely flammable,Carpets Wooden furniture and air conditioning units were the cause of the fire, one of which started to catch fire and the fire spread throughout the building.

Still more realistic than the official story
