I have seen people do cardboard, but never this well before! But then I don't expect anything less from Mr. Strebel!
The container made from cardboard was impressive but when I seen the math to calculate volume I was amazed! what a great tutorial. Thanks for sharing this.
Just stumbled along your channel, and for whatever reason, I absorb the knowledge better. The speed of the video and your voice at a "normal" rate, really works. It is very calming too. I play around with sculpting, painting, and many other projects. Since you asked for suggestions, a curved funnel, or arched, and now im not sure what to call it, but like a wine decanter. Anyway im a fan and will end up binge watching all your vid's cause im a freak like that. Be well, Be Real, an Be YOU!!
Pls keep on making more product design projects just like the cool jar u made from cardboard
Amazing job, thank you for sharing!
great model and video but you said you can make this in your dorm room…. with a sanding machine?
Great video really helped me in my final project of product design semester 2.
I love the simplicity and effectiveness of how you build staff...really impressive....thanks a lot for your insights and ideas...they add a lot to me sir....I'm saying hi from EGYPT :)
That was awesome, I've been struggling with chipboard for the last week or so, so this is a godsend. Also great job with the sponsor, I've been looking to find bulk chipboard for the laser cutter, and it turns out they're somewhat local to me! Win-Win!
Beauty. You are a good man sharing your skills.
That's pretty awesome.
Thank you so much for sharing this
This was amazing!
A great material for this kind of work is corrugated cardboard with a crepe paper layer on one side. It allow for all kinds of radii while keeping its sturdiness. Also really satisfying to bend.
I'm fan of you and your techniques that really helps me a lot keep uploading new things
I AM A RETIRED ENGINEER, I STUMBLED INTO YOUR KZread CHANNEL . I HAVE BEEN DABBLING IN CARDBOARD AND HAD MADE SEVERAL ITEMS THROUGH THE YEARS. I NOTICED THAT I HAVE THE SAME TOOLS THAT YOU HAVE AND ALSO A FAN OF ADAM SAVAGE. WELL ANYWAY I HAVE SUBSCRIBED TO YOUR CHANNEL AND KEEP ON MAKING INTERESTING VIDEOS. SALUTE !

Yo those RENDR pads are the bees knees. I love it for markers. The only complaint I have about it is you get some feathering from absorption. But you can dump an entire copic into the area the size of a postage stamp and not have it bleed through to the other side.
An allpax gasket cutter is an awesome tool to have for perfect circles.
Excelent video!!!
Having worked on scale card modeling, mostly aircraft and spacecraft, you're a great source of techniques

@@EricStrebel One project I was working on was a1/48th scale Saturn V. The 1st and 2nd stages are about 8-1/2" in diameter just for the basic assembly. Available free for download from Lower Hudson Valley papermodelingman.com/gallery_models_apollo.html. There is one individual that is building this at 1/12th scale.
Cool video. You may have started a cardboard wave. Thanks for sharing. : )

Nice little custom cardboard creation! If that were a commissioned piece, I suppose you'd have to charge about three hundred dollars or more for it.

May I know, the adhesive you are using Will it cause any sort of health issues. Because some of it may come in the water.
thanks, it's perfect for smoke grenades 😊
Sir have to calculated volume and radius
For circle cuts, do yo use a rotary blade in that thing or a fixed pointed one? I think this rotary one I have mmmmight be for fabric. It keeps biting into the surface and walking itself out of the proper cut groove area

The prototype is on the way, should arrive next week. Then I will have an update on the project along with kickstarter info for doing a boutique production run.
I’ve been having some issues curving the chipboard without creating visible creases... what’s your best suggestion to fix this?

The next step would be to 3D print something that could hold water if you are happy with the look and feel of the this mock up.

what kind of glue are you using?
@EricStrebel

Christian van der Linden regular PVA white glue that you can get anywhere on the planet, it's thinned with just a bit of water to make it come out of the needle a bit better, you can with the other videos in the cardboard series to see more.
Hi Eric, I've just discovered you on KZread and love your tutorials! I'm currently buying materials to make a cardboard model of a turbo fan for a rally cars' front alloy wheels. Do you have any advice on how to make a turbo fan from cardboard or maybe you could make a video on how to construct one? Any advice would be much appreciated thank you. Richard, England.

what are your thoughts on glue sticks?
@EricStrebel

Round sticks of glue with removable caps, they're super annoying when they fall in the ground.... Oh you're asking me if they're appropriate for making cardboard models, no not really.
