The 5hing is, carnivores in ark tamed or wild are coded to consume the dinos after they die, the giga sends his kills flying upon death

Giga is the king of ark, the Charcar is the queen. The Giga is the brute tank, the Charcar is the Nimble Assassin. both have their seperate uses

A charchar is better for fighting groups like OSTDs or caves but if it’s a one hard opponent like a titan the giga is the way to go

I know the nerf is to balance the Carchar and the Giga, but I mean come on it sucks that you tame a deadly beast and get this thing that requires breeding and breeding just to get it to not even half the health of it’s wild form after maximum mutations. But then again, the damage can become extremely deadly since it works as a percentage, stamina sucks though too which is why I’d rather prioritise other dinos such as Allos but thats just my opinion. You can tame a Titanosaur though and it does not receive a nerf but at the cost of not being able to upgrade it but it still serves as a better tank than the Carchar and the Giga.

I love the race. I understand the point of putting then wild so that both are in optimal power. I feel that if it was tamed it would favor the carcha. The issue is that the wild giga is meant to be op to serve as a threat towards the player. The carcha on the other hand doesn't see an affect to its stats when it's tamed and actively benefits from acquiring more kills unlike the giga where it is most optimal when fresh.

Great video cantex, i liked the idea of 1vs1 deadrun competitions. Btw for the next video you could do an updated race to see which is the fastest creature in ark with all the new creatures that were added since the last race, because it was like 4 years ago and genesis, fjordur,... creatures didn't exist then :)

I prefer the carchar tbh. On the unofficial server I play on, I tamed two low level carchars, bred them, and imprinted the baby. She didn’t even have the best stats, but ended with 46k health and pumped her to around 1000% melee. Full blood rage takes out a giga in about 9 chomps. At least on my server, she’s the empress of the ark overworld.

hmm Those are just not realistic numbers for a tamed charch, and lower level ones at that. Your server is way boosted. So unfortunatly dosn't have much relevence to this conversation. Carchar is better for meat farming and horde fights like OSD, Giga is simply a better option for PVP when you need full power on the first bite, and don't have time to build up stacks.

I partially agree with your statement. I only say partially because, I'm not sure if you noticed but the Carcharodontosaurus never got his full buff here. If you noticed, every kill or two they resetted them. In other words, Carcharodontosaurus never got his full blood stack. A Carc is able to match the damage of a Giga at 50% blood rage, which is something that didn't get showcased here.

So I recently found out and still as of right now instead of fighting head on with the carchar,carchars have much better mobility and you can attack running in circles of course you can only do it for so long cause of Stam but honestly if you can get the giga down to decent health the fight is yours as a carchar!

More I watch these Giga vs Carchar death runs/ fights, the more clear bias I see towards the giga, so many cuts to see the Carchar no longer in its bloodlust mode, we had a admin do something similar to this on our server and the carchar won but a noticeable margin, it had longer pauses due to its agro animation, but once it killed a alpha it was plain sailing from there. Carchar once it gets over 50 in its bloodlust is on par /stronger than a giga and its hp Regens like a Argy but constant.

All just depends on what your doing. When i'm trying to push off raiders at my turret tower i don't have time to go around and get the Charch stacks before i push lol, need that giga bite power on the first bite. But when i'm doing an OSD or meat farming give me a Carchar any day.

The charcar seems better against hordes where it can maintain its buff. It would be better than a giga for all of the wave based battles, while the giga is better against other bigger stronger dinos, such as the charcar I take this as charcar is more dangerous to anything else, while the giga is better against OTHER big strong creatures but not as effective against armies. Both are cool and i think the charcar looks cooler too

Great video, but I would have put the alphas at the end. The Carchar lost it's blood rage stack due to the amount of time it took to kill. Otherwise the Carchar would have easily surpassed the giga due to being able to do equal damage to a giga at 50 stacks.

no not true, if you pay attention, after every kill or 2, he resets them. kind of bias in a way cause he's not letting the blood rage stack. he needs to leave it alone and let it stack so we can see the real power of the carchar

putting them up against opposite dinos in the run test ruined it, they should have been fighting the same dinos the entire way through, having them wild doesn't help to compare what they would actually be tamed though

I’d like to see this with tamed versions. The charcar is INSANELY overpowered when tamed, especially if you get a good damage stat! With the regen as stacks build, they’re as strong or even stronger than a Giga!

Carchars are just stronger, better and faster then a giga for these things, i would only pick a giga if it's not far and only one or two things need to die. Carchars don't rage and each kill gives a small speedboost, building up stacks makes them do way more damage then a giga and makes them heal at an insane rate making food a bottleneck.

Giga have actually has 400 damage(not 500) and Carcha has a base 211.

Lol not true. You should check and ask about HPs and Damage for tame Gigas. They're Gigas with 1k damage at birth. Ours is 900+ damage at birth. Imprint gives Gigas at 1k damage.

Best possible scenario stacked completely in the Charchar's favor, where it's able to take full advantage of its stacking kill buff, and it's still completely outclassed by the giga absolute joke of a creature, they stacked it with so many random worthless effects thinking they were making a dinosaur catered to pvp, and in doing so demonstrate that they know fucking nothing about the state of pvp in their game.

I've asked once I'll ask again what's the point of using a wild giga if you take away its ability? You'll give every other creature it's ability except the giga making it kinda not fair. If the giga has no ability then so too should the other creatures not have theirs

Carchar is better. Sure the giga has more damage but the carchar can fit in the tek cave and when it has full bloodrage it can annihilate basically anything. Also carcharodontosaurus has no rage so its more useful for pvp. Carchar looks 100x better

Tbh I would choose giga over char any day but the char design is so much better

Great videos the only problem I have with them is you don't mention other outcomes… if you would have tamed the carcha and the giga and rid them then the carcha would have won because of the kill stack
