CarboTune construction by JS Surfboards

After six years of research aim and development, our brand-new carbon construction is ready to be released to the world. We’ve used dozens of different layups from our testing grounds at home on the Gold Coast & around Australia, to wave pools and a huge variety of waves throughout North America, Europe, Japan, Morocco and Brazil. CarboTune is what we’ve settled on as the unanimous favourite from JS and the Traktor Team in each of these conditions. The aim was always for endurance and performance unlike anything seen before in surfboard construction - now we’re here.

I bought a Hyfi Sub Xero some months back, my first ever JS... I'm 105kg+ so got a 6'6. I bought the Fanning 2+1 to put in it (the H4 styled things). I don't know how much is the fins and how much is the board but this combo just amazes me. This board whips around so hard and fast if you crank a cuttie - I've seen guys involuntarily show surprise and smile at the turns. It has that beautiful balance of being drivey on my backhand (super vert off the bottom) but strangely not stiff going forehand, very easy to release when you want - often a board is way more comfortable one way or the other but this thing is so exciting both ways. I can't express how much this thing excites me. I can't say that it's the absolute best paddler or groveller I've ever owned - but it might be the most exciting board I've owned. It only takes a little bit of push to light this thing up and I've ridden it from knee high to double overhead. I suspect that it's the built-in flex system that makes it burn out of turns if you load it up. Just wow! Wish my wife would let me get the carbotune lol... thanks JS 😊

Trying to charge $1600 for a board? Such an obvious money grab. AGAIN. Every new name they think up for "epoxy" and "carbon" and how they put it together overseas means extra $$$$$$$$ for them. @@tonyturner4602 Yeah you're totally right in your assumptions Even though you know nothing about me. Definitely Never had a JS before. Well except for the flame fish soft that I have in military green. Oh yeah and then there's my 6'1" Raging Bull. Oh then I forgot my 5'10" Bullseye. Plus the quiver of older models some of which I got 15 years ago. You see my friend. I'm 36. Started shaping when I was a teenager. Started collecting boards a little bit after that. Have well over a hundred of my collection at this point. But if I'm being honest a sizable chunk of that has come over the next few years due to real water sports here in Buxton North Carolina that allows you to finance any board you want. So I just keep buying s*** and buying s***. Just got a new 5'11" SM1 Tokoro with a round pin. Then I got a 6'1" red tiger and a 6"0" Model 74 from pizell and all in the last 3 weeks. Anyway bud I'm about to go paddle out at the third groin here in Buxton offshore West winds at about 4 to 6 miles an hour and 1 to 3 ft overhead near perfection. ✌️🤙
