Thank you. The idea for us was to buy a used van for a couple of years then upgrade but 5 years later we still have it. To be honest we love the van so much we'll keep it for another year or two the we'll proberbly upgrade. I'd recommend buying a used van to see how you get on and then upgrade as you'll probably have a few scrapes here and there. I've gone through 3 jockey wheels lol

Thanks for the mention of the self adhesive tiles, think I might get some of those. Wish your volume was higher, had difficulty hearing you. Very smart now.

i was doubtful at 1st your makeover was going to make an improvement, but you did well and have cheered up a dull old fashioned out of date colour scheme without spending a ruddy fortune. well done I like it, I like it a lot.

It looks good but I agree on the upholstery needing a change to something more modern. Loads of the older caravans have dated fabrics it seems but £1000 sounds a lot but I suppose if you buy a couple of sofas it would be more, I have just bought two for my sitting room. You did so well to get the caravan at that price, its in very good condition. In my kitchen my husband used a vinyl wrap on the cabinet doors in a slate grey concrete finish, its amazing its the second makeover in last 7 years with this material and it doesn’t show chip or show fingerprints due to the mottled concrete look. Maybe you could have a go in another part of the van.

Love the renovations, and the van, you have given us some great tips thank you, just a thought, we bought Dunelm throws to recover our seating. We cut them to size and used elastic so they are easy to remove for washing, they are lovely and soft and were a fraction of the cost of reupholstery

Thanks....To be honest when I pulled all the cupboard doors off and primed them I thought oh no what have I done my poor caravan but it was worth it and it cost just over 200 quid and it was fun. Would recommend doing it feels like I got a new caravan

You can get cushion covers on eBay or you can get throws in home bargins for £3.99 I think that would make it look the extra bit better looks great as it is now though :)

I've only had the van for 4 years and it came with the van. I had all the original manuals and it seems it was a standard Fleetwood Heritage/ Volante cooker

Hello mate got them on Amazon very easy to install 👍

The new colour clashes with the upholstery because seats are beige and base is yellow so clashes with the grey. If you reupholster the seats and curtains it will look amazing ...

Definitely We are going to get someone to do the upholstery on the seats and change the curtains. During the winter we have decided to do the bed room too

The original flooring was lino I just gave it a good clean the laid the planks on top. So far so good fingers crossed
