Can we just appreciate how well Gunn played, he kept Norwich in it

That performance by gun I lost count to how brilliant he was

Beautifully recieved by Pukki and then the assist!

Best team won based on the non biased highlights. Gunn superb.

We need to focus on a top centre back if we do go up again. Gibbo and Tomkinson were statues and Hanley is only a good second tier defender. Omobamidele is going to be a star, we need an experienced centre back alongside him.

Hanley and Gibson are two of the worst defenders we have ever had. Tomkinson is young and needs time/a good partner to play with.

Thought Tomkinson did ok for a young lad but yes, we can't rely on Hanley (good player but slowing down) or Gibson if we go up.

Hanley is one of the better ones

Can't say I'm overly bothered about the league cup and we gave a solid performance with some amazing individual efforts. The league is the priority.

Pukki and Idah should have been put on at half time, but I guess Sunderland is more important

I really liked Rashica before now. But he clearly doesn’t wanna be at the club so to keep him beyond august would be criminal. I Will not have any Cantwell slander, he tried his best, and he had a decent performance for the actual game. But finally and I think most importantly, why did we sign Aaron Ramsey?

@@JL-gk4ct Some just can’t help themselves, there were 3 forward players worse than Todd but that isn’t mentioned Rashica, was poor Ramsey pathetic altho Hugill scored about the only thing he did , these three players shouldn’t be anywhere near the first team but I suppose he’s one of Smiths Villa golden boys

At least we can score now Defence is an issue but I have faith with big Andy

Cantwell should of had a penalty earlier on and unlucky to hit the post .

Rachica is totally useless, Aaron's is a more successful attacking player and he's defending as well. Don't expect to see him back in the starting line up based on this, Cantwell was decent despite penalty miss.

Rashica is a good player, he just doesn't want to be here and that's reflected on his performances so far

That 1st half goal from salah was amazing. And .he's the best at basketball Tiger woods is no match for him

There may have been a few changes for this cup game but same old Norwich defensively, Bournemouth missed a hatful and the keeper made some good saves. Some of Norwich's defending was woeful, can't allow attackers to turn in and around the box. You Don't see too many Italian defenders making it easy, You better start learning because if you çome back up and defend like this ,guess what.

That defending for their first goal. FFS.

Yep, I counted six ball-watching players and no-one paying attention to Marcondes drifting round the back of them into space.

From the highlights Bournemouth should have been out of sight. Good to see the youngsters who are playing well.

As a Bournemouth fan, I hadn't seen the hilights until today. Gunn was brilliant.kept Norwich in the game. Still a draw was fair but AFCB certainly edged it & deserved to go through.

I see what your saying, but I disagree, I think that Krul is more calculated and controlled with his distribution on a whole and as a goalkeeper, his technique is better. I am in no way saying that Gunn is a bad keeper, he is really good and will be a great Norwich No. 1, I just think that Krul is a better keeper for at least this season.

I would also say that Krul's command of his box and organization of his defenders is better.

Rested for this cup game, back in at Sunderland for sure.

Big mistake here mr Smith . A first team outing for all would have won this match, and only 4 games from a euro place . Always a good idea to play the present opponents first rather then to worry about the up and coming one in 4 days time .

I know Gunn saved us a few times but is he allergic to catching the ball or something? lol A few of those saves could have easily been held instead of just palmed anywhere.

He stopped moving to then drop when they make contact from behind, but though those are often given, they didn't foul him in the process so the ref didn't buy it. The Millwall defender tried to do the same thing in desperation vs Sargent the other day, that went for us when the ref didn't buy it then either.

...Just catching up on The City View for this, which for once, actually has a great view of this incident and I have to admit I got that one wrong and as you say, so did the ref. Weird though that coming back to this footage, it still doesn't look like a cert, so perhaps from the ref's perspective he read it like I did.

I thought it was 4-5 on pens

There's still 41 league games left (and another cup run to come in the new year, plus potentially play-offs too), so it made sense to rest him and give others some minutes.

Norwich aren’t very good at footy never have been really imo
