Hey you're good man. Say what you wanna say so long as it's self deprecating.

In my opinion one of the greatest albums of all time. The wit and angst of the lyricism and the beautiful melodies and guitar work that act as a wonderful counterpart to the unique lyrics. Truly a masterpiece in my own humble opinion. Every track is a gem which holds significance in its representation of youth, love and depression

I totally agree, Famous Prophets was my favorite CSH song for a long time.

i had a weird experience yesterday. i put this song on with 2 other friends in the car, and as i was screaming the lyrics while they watched me (because we were having fun, idgaf) i was screaming part 2 of beach life, my friend just started crying, and we pulled into a bird watch and we just stood there, hugging in a weird emotional moment. the bird watch was flooded, and i don't know if i'll ever not think of that moment every time i listen to bL&D Edit: (cw; death) Beach life in death was also playing when I heard that my 2 year old nephew had died this morning. Every time I listen to this album, it gains a new meaning.

It’s weird my brother who I look up to a lot, went to the same college as Will around the same time he formed the band. my brother was the one that got me into a lot of indie music. I had family and my cousins lived around the NorVA D.C. area where he grew up with similar music tastes. Whenever I listen to this album I think of home.

An absolutely perfect album that shakes me to my core every time.

I'm always stunned when I listen to the low-fi version of this. Production is great, no mistake, but this is punch-in-the-wherever (face, gut, nuts) visceral. Been listening to them about five years now fwiw.

This album is seriously one of the best rock albums of all time.

this album will never fail to make me feel so much at once and completely numb at the same time. it rocks me to my core every time i hear it. i don't care what anyone says this is one of the greatest rock albums oat. i didn't know that music could make me feel this way until i heard csh. i can hardly put into words my adoration and love for this album and will's genius behind it. god its so fucking good.

I can't thank you enough for the existence of this video. A year ago I was in a really bad place and this video came in my recommendations, since then I've been a fan of CSH and their music comfort me when times are tough. Sober to death is one of the greatest songs I have ever heard

I like the newer version better, but it's nice to come back to this version every now and again. Even through the rough production, you could tell that Will had a shit load of talent. The better production the new version has just showcases it even more.

The vinyl of this recording sounds so fucking good it’s unreal. Easily my favourite album period.

I listened to this because I wanted to have something in common with a guy I was into. I didn’t think I’d enjoy it, much less listen to it multiple times. I was completely wrong, and this is now one of my favorite albums. This album is gut punch after gut punch and I love it immensely.

Despite the recording equipment being crude, remember that Will mixed this album himself too, so it probably sounded much more hollow straight out of the recording session, but he was able to fix it.

there's not a lyric on this entire album that doesn't contribute to either the tone or themes in some way

He was totally ahead of his time.

I've listened to this album a countless number of times at this point, and I am still yet to take in the lyrics entirely. I usually end up listening to it maybe once a month, while working, and maybe its the fact that my subconcious understands what he's singing, maybe it's the amazing atmospheric tones CSH plays throughout the album. But it's usually around this point 15-18 minutes in that I realize the album is playing that I begin to really just start evaluating my life & my feelings. Happy thanksgiving everyone, and cheers to your ego reset.

I do like this and I think that recording your own stuff is a brillant thing to do. It demands a lot of focus and dedication to learn how to write play and record your own music. However I keep listening to a lot of new music as a re-fried piece of mainstream shit all the time. I think I just hate myself in a way for not doing it and taking things too seriously.
