This is quality technique, quality work, and quality results where skill and experience are the keys. Yet many people will say they could have done the same thing with a smartphone while the car is parked at the grocery store. Way to keep the standards high, Jay P! Thanks for some superb tips! ⭐x 5

Yes yes yes! At last I have found someone who shoots cars properly without all that awful light painting flat look that looks so fake. Love this , subbed!

I shoot only small objects (bags, perfumes, shoes,...), but now I'll think of all this if I have to shoot a car. Very informative !

Great vid! I'm fairly new to photography and have been trying to figure out what to focus on when looking for the perfect car photo shoot location. Your advice brought me to the conclusion that's been slowly developing in my head as I've been searching. Thanks!

Exactly the information I was looking for! I have a friend with a classic muscle car and I told him I would take a few pics for him. I'm scouting locations today! Thank you.

Regarding the foam core for removing reflections, have you tried both black and white sepetately to adjust how they reflect and fill the shadows? Would the shade of the car somewhat define the color of foam core? White for light colored cars, black for dark colored cars, or is it completely dependent on whether you want light or dark reflections in the final image?

You would use black if you want to get rid of the reflections and white if you want to bring in some light.

You must be the only photographer I know that shoots a car with a 24-70 lens. Everyone I know who is a car photographer shoots with at least at 85mm +
