I appreciate everything you show, i was never fortunate enough to go to trade school. I started as a sign painter years when I was 20 and had someone to ask me to paint a car at work for them, one thing led to another. I’m 25, I now own a small auto paint and body shop I still to this day learn new techniques and tips from your content. You’ve definitely gave me the confidence to get out my shell and try new things to be successful! Thank you Brian!

Car painting has advanced so much from when I learned from my Dad - He was an auto body wizard for over 40 years - did it all - from minor wrecks to complete restoration - including refinishing. Watching you brings back memories of hanging out with him at his body shop, and watching him work. Your knowledge, attention to detail, and techniques is the best I've seen since. Great work , man!!

After watching countless videos of you painting, I decided to take on the task of painting my 1989 jeep wrangler. Im doing a 4 stage paint with metallic base with candy apple red and metallic clear coat. Ive made some mistakes, actually a lot. But I try to take it in stride and remember not to overthink it....its just paint

I watched your video for the first time and I feel like I have learned more watching your video than the rest I have watched combined. You apply concepts that I haven't seen in other videos. I have extra respect for really good auto body men and esp the painters. Because it is a whole different skill than doing the mechanical work, and certainly no easier to do well! So much of it relies on experience, technique, intuition and knowledge, even more so than changing a clutch or pulling an engine. Auto body and paint is practically an art form and I understand why they have to charge as much as they charge!

A+ teaching for sure. So on the overlap especially in 2nd coat of clear what do you recommend? Seems like very little overlap and really going over and over on the same section. I ask as I will painting this exact hue (Porsche GT Silver) and clear in the next 2 weeks.

Actually really surprised your not using the ws400 on complete overalls only, if your not careful you will slick them panels out to the point of not matching adjacent factory orange peel. Insurance work= tekna or prolites Completes=ws400 supernova but that's just my opinion. Great work and love the vids.

Excellent work!!! Just now finding your channel and subscribed. I just have one question: What is the song that starts just as you apply the clear base? Its a cover of another song, but I can't quite put my finger on it. Its some old 70's funk and it is sounding good!!!

I watch your vids just painted my bumper (1G3) came out very good except its darker than the rest of car and clear coat is dull, didnt use 2K. My plan is to get duplicolor spray can, sand then finish with a 2K clear.

The clear base you put on before you blend is it actual the same clear you use for the final finishing?

I'm a painter at a collision repair body shop. I started as a detailer and parts gatherer So most of my knowledge is just what I have learned over time from working there. I have never taped off my blend panel from sealer/color coverage. Am I wrong for that??

@@PaintSociety if you turn the air cap on your spray gun 90 degrees you don't have to walk the car with the clear. Because you will be spraying and overlapping the clear perpendicular instead of horizontally. Could you do a video about painting car perpendicular instead of horizontally to see which is better or if it can be done

Hey Brian, im painting a c10 with a satin tunnel ram gray metallic. Would I be able to spray the truck in panels or do I need to spray the Jams first then put it together to spray entire truck so the flake lays properly? And if so, would you just tape the jams so you don’t get spray thru
