wow never knew the Diplomat had a wagon these vid's are a treasure trove of old forgotten cars. An that '74 K-5 blazer well Chief Brody will be sad that was his ride in Jaws

Always sad for me to see station wagons being crushed.. Those would have been the type of car I'd drive if I had the money.. I'd live in it too.. take out the back seats.. add in a small mattress and box spring.. portable toilet and stove and I could live anywhere..

I'm pretty sure that the Diplomat wagon was discontinued by 1986. I was alive back then, and I don't recall ever seeing one in the wild! @@elaineewalt8137

That Blazer was self-destructing before it could even get into the crusher! (Is it just me or are those new front-loading washers falling apart faster than top-loaders? 🤣) The Chevy C-20 may have been a '71 or '72 because the parking lights were in the bumper; earlier models had them in the grille

Looks like a LeBaron wagon with Plymouth Gran Fury grille, added afterwards. It was a rust bucket, sorry fans, too far along to "restore". No replacement sheet metal out there.

Not the Family Truckster! (Yeah, yeah; I know the Truckster was a Ford) That is the first Diplomat wagon I have ever seen, though. I think that Blazer just took over the top spot in our Rustball Rankings. It's fun to toss in a few appliances now and then, too. I wonder if somebody cut that old Chevy truck in half to make a trailer, or if it's @ss just plain rusted off. Good load, today.

@@LongIslandMopars Thats true. I had a 76 Plymouth Volare that had just over 186,000 on it when the transmission gave up. I gave it to a fellow Plymouth lover for parts to keep other Plymouths going. It was a great car!
