Yeah. Last time I saw 1970s and 1980s cars on the road often was almost 15 years ago, so many of the cars likely sat for a long time.

Looking back in the 80's we had the Phoenix,the citation,the Calais the cavalier,the cimmaron the Skylark the k kars. I never thought any of them were ugly at all growing up... Looking back now compared to what we have today they were undeniably gorgeous cars all of them ....

The Oldsmobile reminds me of the car that appeared in the opening sequence of "Newhart," driving serenely through Vermont...a Royale no less... Considering the Chevette made it to (nearly) 40 years, not quite the throwaway car they were considered (ha-ha)...Diplomat makes me think of an unmarked city cop car, in that same murky shade of gray they all seemed to have...It seems a contradiction that Jeep Cherokees came in two-wheel drive, but customers in the southern states wanted to have the "cool" new Jeep--but didn't need four-wheel drive! Jeep was losing customers to Ford and Chevy, which had two-wheel-drive Explorers and S-10 Blazers....here's to crushing even more in 2024!

As a 90s millennial seeing 70s 80s cars being crushes seems perfectly normal to me as i gre up seeing the in derbys and being crushed by monster trucks on SUNDAY SUNDAY SUNDAY😂...but when i start seeing 90s and later cars being crushed .....a chill runs up my spine 😨

Probably because I think some people wanted the 2wd version instead of the 4wd ,mainly because usually they ride so much comfortable and smooth but yet loved the Body style , 4wd jeeps usually rides rough and I guess wanted that jeep but wanted one that rides smooth like a car I am assuming ,

@@nickythebull82 Most of them dont even have wheels, some of them even have plants growing through them, and also if they've ended up in a scrapyard you can safely assume they no longer run and drive. And they usually take the engines out before crushing since they are hard to crush and are somewhat valuable
