Bra Muzi, I almost spat my coffee out from laughing. This was very informative, especially about silly extras they try to bake into the car loan. Second-hand dealers are worse with dubious mechanical warranties that they insist you must take.

Firstly, awesome video brother! LOL about the brakes.. I still remember when they informed me that the brakes had a small range left on them before they would have to be changed, after I declined - did the mechanic not test drive the living hell out of the car. After the service and having picked up my car, I started getting the indication that the breaks are worn and have to be changed! I then went back to the dealership and gave he service manager hell! Luckily the tracker app indicated the harsh acceleration and breaking countless times while they were test driving the car! (which the manager indicated was not needed for them to do) End of the long story.. brakes were changed on a huge discount 🤣👌

I recently bought my first car and I learned from KZread to say a big NO when it comes to these things 😆. I only paid 1500 for license and reg. Refused to pay 5000 that they quoted for delivery + car prep + car storage + licensing. So I can safely say none is compulsory, however the license & reg I feel is justified. Whether it should be 1.5k though is another story.

@@OwzaB I am in the process of buying my second one too. I was scammed big time the first time around with unnecessary add-ons. I was wise enough to negotiate this time around. Delivery fee and all these nonsensical things were taken out and I got a product for tires free. Licencing and Maintenance plan were the only ones I took on. I think it would be helpful for Muzi to cover this as a lot of us were scammed the first time around.

7:45 You were spot on about not buying more car than you need. I've always considered this and told myself that even If I can afford to buy a huge sedan Mercedes-Benz. I don't have a kids or wife, nor am I part of a large family. A much smaller car like the Kia Picanto, Grand i10 or if I need something with a little more volume. Something like a Kia Rio is fine as my first car. I shouldn't aim big when big won't even cater to my needs and circumstances.

Great videos, about services and maintenance plans. I've had both, what i find is when you have them the dealers try not replacing the part that should be replaced as they are wearing down to push for the next service, especially if you are on your last month, they will avoid changing the breaks etc... When you don't have any plan, they want to change everything all the time and leave you with a big bill to pay. As much as it's a good thing to have those plans, i can't justify having them on finance as they don't last the duration of the finance anyways. I would prefer to pay separately for the service or maintenance plan you save a ton of money as you don't pay interest. I'm glad i watched your video as it has helped me get the best trade-in price on my car.

you place facts as they are and that's true i bought a car through VW but used vehicle, they gave me runarounds with some wear and tear issue after 7 days and had to go legal route and depreciate the the vehicle based on Manufacture recommendations....but above all.....never trust any dealer or any sales person, ask Questions, if you don't agree with their T&C's walk away

Sometimes this can be a waste of money. I purchased a second hand 2011 vivo at 45km and was sold this warranty extension which expired before anything broke. 8 years later, I only replaced a clutch kit after teaching my lady how to drive and a timing chain because it would vibrate when starting the car.

@@kagisolepule7053well if you did your due diligence you would of known that a warranty extension and it’s duration are way too short for your usage or driving period. Do some research also and know what you are getting out of your warranty extension option

Ey the lengths to which people will go to sink their butt into this m3! Ayi let me not start. The content here is solid.

When it comes to trackers fitted by dealers. It’s not always a train smash. You just have to read your policy documents and understand T’s & C’s. I had one Bidtrack fitted by my VW dealer and then my insurer wanted a tracker from a specific company. It was still within the first 14 days of the contract (cool down period) and I could remove it without incurring any cost to me. They paid me back. Cancelled the contract and they came to me to remove the device. You just have to be meticulous when it comes to these things. READ EVERYTHING!!

People should also go to dealerships with a budget cause if you don't you'll given ridiculous amounts for a basic car and they'll toy with you to ensure you pay for unnecessary stuff that don't even apply to you.

Thanks for this video, really going to help me while looking for me next car! That happened to me, after receiving my copy of the paperwork almost two months later I read there was a balloon payment. When I asked the sales agent before leaving with the car No Balloon and he said Yes no balloon only to be surprised months later. She. I eventually found out next steps I could take it was too late!

I got a free smash and grab when I bought I first car. Out of excitement of being approved by the bank, I didn't have time to read the finance agreement, I only realized after six months of driving the car that it wasn't as free as they claimed, I paid R4000 for it.
