In this music composition tutorial video I am going to show you how to make an orchestral song with a feeling of fear. I will be using FL Studio 20 to make this.
I start with simple composition capturing an emotion of fear and follow that up by adding more orchestral sounds and effects to end up with a scary horror orchestral piece.

These are great, just the kinda thing that inspires me! I've started producing dark wave and dark synth music with a haunting, ghostly and uncanny tone and often freak myself out when I'm home alone at night looking for new unsettling sounds. I had to stop one night because the CTR pad paired with a deep droning bass and white noise got way too freaky. With my head phones on I kept feeling like someone was behind me. I had to stop.

I always thought that the sound of fear was silence, but not actual silence, have a deep sub bass frequency playing at 18.98Hz and eventually you would scare anyone.

It makes the sound go from quiet to louder but often times it's not just a simple volume automation because many libraries actually record different audio for when a player is playing quieter and when he is playing louder. So you get that realism.
I feel like the whole result is just one giant orchestral buildup haha

I sometimes try to mix orchestra with electro :D i have few cinematic songs on NG......well im not pro tho XD But its true i love how orchestrals can bring that deep feel and atmosphere to the music is a shame its not used that much.
