Hey everyone! I'm excited to share my review & experience using the new Capture One for iPad app. I've been using it in the studio to level up my photography, get more creative on set, and collaborate more closely with clients. I've also added a tutorial on how to set up the iPad to Camera tethering system, enhance your workflow, and upload to the cloud.

    Thanks for the video. An exciting development. I have not been able to have my camera write files to my card when I connect to the iPad. It maybe a limitation on my camera. If you know settings to make this happen, I would love to learn how to do that! Thanks again.

    Hello Lucy Martin. My name is Maurice. First, thank you for your clear explanations. You touched on my question. My hope is that you can elaborate and teach in more detail. I really want to be able to move between my iPad and computer easily and always have the most recent, synced, versions of my edited pictures. What is the work flow to do preliminary edits on the pad, have the images reviewed by clients and finalize processing with the full capture One pro program on the computer? You gave a rough idea using the cloud, but I was thinking specifically to have a portable drive that functions as a master and allows for the ease of moving the image forward based upon the changing capabilities of our devices. Now that we have iPhones to add to the mix, there must be a way to always have the most current version of the image and work on the device that is most convenient, or functional. Thanks in advance.

    When you rate image on the iPad does it transfer to the camera?

  • @mbsz53

    Do you know how we can share rough edited JPEG‘s with a watermark to the client and have them tag and rate? I figured out how to do this by exporting and sending it as an attachment file through email, but I would rather have the interactive feedback from the customer that is available through Sharing sessions. Thank you.

    So if I shoot two or 300 Raw files and I cull through them and come up with 105 star files. I need to have pretty decent Internet for uploading files or at least 32 MB each right? Everyone says they’ve got a good download speed but what about upload speed? Also, can any of the files be saved to the files app and I can plug-in a Samsung T5 to it and get my files off kept one for the iPad that way? I’m just trying to think of a alternate way to get my files off quickly without relying on a Wi-Fi hotspot or slow Wi-Fi upload speeds.

    Hey Brian, I'd say check out this video from Capture One kzread.info/dash/bejne/gnppqpJxmKifps4.html as they talk a bit more about exporting in it & show that you can save the photos to the Files app. I personally haven't tried this, but it's likely that from the Files app you could transfer onto an external drive.

    Which size iPad did you use? Is Capture One limited to the Pro models only?

  • @TheLucyMartin

    @TheLucyMartin

    Hey Jas, I have a 9th Gen iPad so definitely not just limited to Pro models. My iPad is the 10.2 inch size - works great & perfect for reviewing on the screen. I am tempted by the iPad Pro, but it actually has way more features than I really need or would use consistently so I'm happy with the 9th Gen iPad.

    Great editing engine there but the mobile version is still lacking so much stuff! LR Mobile is way better at everything, except for handling Fuji X-Trans files as C1 does...
