Captive Russian soldiers tell how they ended up in Ukraine and what orders did they have

"We were not told anything. They just told us to march ahead" The commander told us that we were told we are going to drills", "We were deceived and being used as cannon fodder." A Russian soldier who became captive in Ukraine tells how they ended up here.

At the end of the day we all want the same things. We all want a comfortable life with a family and no worries. We all want peace and not war. Hopefully they can bring this to an end quickly.

It boggles the mind why he is using so many conscripts. He should have used the professional soldiers and elite units because these conscripts clearly don't want to fight. No way could these soldiers hold and subdue a hostile population even if they won because they clearly don't believe in the mission or even know what the mission is.

My grandfather was also forced to fight for the Nazi regime - even though he hated Nazis. My grandfather's story completely adds up as to how and when he was conscripted against his will and where he was used (because pretty much all conscriptions happend around the same time for people his age). He was forced onto an armored vehicle at his school when he was just 17 and held at gun point. He was then sent to North Africa (the first military theatre that used conscripts) and later Russia. He was always more afraid of his own commanding officer than the enemy, because the enemy was at least relatable and understandable while his own commander could decide that a small tactical retreat was desertion/treason just because of a mood swing - with deadly consequences.

In this case that is partially correct. Biden, Nancy Pelosi, John Kerry, and Mitt Romney all have children doing "business" (plundering Ukraine's resources) with gas companies in Ukraine, so the criminal government allowing that to happen must be protected - no? Russia should have done this long ago, because over 14,000 Russian people have been tortured and murdered the last 8 years, since Ukraine's democratically elected government was overthrown by CIA and other satanic elements. When you see disgusting, degenerate, satanically possessed Hollywood celebrities supporting Ukraine's government, you know it's evil. Hopefully Russia can help Ukraine's people have a fair election, and get rid of the corrupt, degenerate filth that was installed as their puppet leader - have you seen him do his gay dance in high heels, or playing piano with his penis.......?

I know it feels like "losing your face", being put on display like this. But remember: you guys actually scored the best price of them all: you're alive, healthy and do no murdering (anymore - or maybe you never did). One day you'll appreciate this. National pride or patriotism isn't a bad thing per se, but one of the most important things, that can easily be misused, when the wrong guys are in command and give you your orders. Defend your country, your home, your family and friends, when they are actually threatened by someone, but do not invade innocent people and destroy their lifes. Orders like this can only be wrong. I was hoping people learned that from history lessons by now. Unfortunately, it doesn't look like it.

Russians do not think like the rest of Europeans and European-Americans. It's like they've all been hit in the head with a baseball bat. I know a few personally. Something is just not right with them. I've listened to interviews with former CIA heads of various departments and they all say that Russia doesn't do things like the rest of the world. They're sick. They have government schools in which they recruit attractive women to send to America to seduce and even marry men in US government. They give their lives up and have children with these men just so they can spy. The Russians have been told constant lies from the Kremlin their whole lives. Many of them currently don't know that their troops are waging war on Ukraine.

I am a Vietnam veteran and it breaks my heart to see these young soldiers betrayed, captured, and now put to shame. You can see what it means to "lose face" by their downcast eyes. It will get more difficult when they get home, traumatized and changed forever, and try to tell their story to uncomprehending family and friends. They will be denounced as cowards. They will isolate and live alone with their shame and unrequited rage against their betrayers, these terrible moments they are living now will not only not go away, instead will be the daily thoughts and ruminations that will intrude on every moment and cripple them mentally and drive them to drink, drugs, suicide, all by the acts of the war criminal -not LBJ, but Vladimir Putin! To say they will have "ptsd" is really just totally off point, one should understand that.

Secondly, what you're saying really can't compare, since back then it was the Nazis spreading propaganda about the Polish doing wrong, in this case it's the Russians talking good of the Ukraine and speaking down on their own leader. It seems like everybody other than Putin and his idolizers want this to be over. I want you to look at it this way, Putin wants to invade Ukraine, although almost all of Russia disagrees with Putin, even the soldiers. Hitler wanted to invade Poland, and almost all of Germany agreed with him, especially the soldiers. We're not seeing a big upcoming of Anti-Ukraine Nazis like we did with Hitler and his people, you can simply see that it's Putin versus the world at this point.

At that point taking out the group who attacked US is actually a form of defense, it's not fair to the rest of Afghanistan of course but there are reasons that can be understood even if I don't agree. Iraq is harder to defend, they did produce weapons of mass destruction which broke certain UN laws, but that is a bit too vague and I honestly don't know enough details other than how unpopular it was among people and certain countries in the west. The soldiers and higher ups who were caught and/or proven to commiting war crimes like rape, murder, torture and other things mostly ended up in jail, those who can not be proven can simply not be proven so they did not get caught. Either way, US lost support from it's own people and they didn't gain anything from these wars, every single major war they have taken part in has been seen as a failure in the long run and just shows that there's no real winner in war.

This is heartbreaking. So many young lives! How many of us were made to do things that we did not approve or want due to ignorance, naiveness, lack of maturity, understanding, knowledge or experience? We reach adulthood or middle age, look back into our lives and think: I wish I had done this and that differently. The truth is, we did not know better, we did not know before what we know today! I wish these guys will go on living a life full of love, wisdom, understanding and give back the respect they received in Ukraine.

Youd think by now you wouldnt trust a dam thing any media spouts after the last 2 years. Everything now has become blatant lies. Do you know the real reason why russia is in Ukraine? Why they have been at it since 2014? Why the podcaster said last October that the word from the elitists was a war in February...how did he know that

@@cheeseymccheese7249 yes Russia stole Crimea and other parts of Ukraine because of the new oil fields. Ukraine retaliated by closing the canal that supplies water to the Crimea and its now dying and costing Russia lots to keep supplied. Now Putin makes war because he wants to make a new empire and remove the thorn in his side before it joins the EU or NATO and he loses his opportunity.
