Capturing a colorful ocean sunset painting in oils. I used MH oil paints for this piece with a little bit of walnut oil medium and only a very tiny amount of liquin to aid in the drying of the painting. I painted this on an 8x10 hardbord panel with gesso.

I've been doing ocean / sea paintings for 40 years (I grew up on Main coast) and I find it so difficult to mirror. Your work is amazing! You make it look so simple I can't really learn from it. but I'll watch it a few few times. there's something I don't understand why the sea doesn't reflect all the peach / lemon from the sky...?? subbed!

Beautiful! New to acrylic painting. Do you use a retarded or a wet pallet so the paints don't dry out and can be blended?
