bill gets happy when people almost get hurt, he really is a psycho

In all industries you have businesses where people lead by intimidation, fear, belittlement etc and the staff these leaders find are the kind of people who take that kind of abuse. I’ve been able to see these places a mile away and quick as light I’m out. I work with leaders that want to lead and treat their employees as equals.

the bilge pump is suppose to be running if it is not the engines get flooded and they can sink. Who ever did not fix the bilge pump is in big trouble.

It’s not supposed to be on 24/7 otherwise it’ll burn up and potentially cause a fire. Typically they’re supposed to check the engine room at the beginning and end of every watch rotation, but as Bill so eloquently put it “these guys are idiots.”

You have zero clue what u are talking about. First off the water wasn't even in the bilge there was only an inch of water in the wet room. Second there are bilge alarms that go off when the water is high. Third the bilge bump does not cut on automatically you have to manually turn it on.

Is that the girl from the Perfect Storm movie?

This is the worst boat and bill is the worst skipper.

i dunno if id go that far. what has she contributed while on the show? a lot of sitting back in her chair and literally gripping it for dear life while she hangs back and does nothing important. in this clip - she discovers a flood right. and what does she do - does she investigate further? does she find the cause or a possible solution? nope. she takes a stroll up to the wheelhouse to talk to the actual real captain who then deals with the situation while she humms and haws about how watchlists are important.

What has she done to show she is at all captaining this boat? She has never crab fished. She just sits there and responds to Bill once in awhile! Get woke!

Linda has quota but she's just wanting a boat cruise paid by Bill.

I'm shocked captain Linda Green law is out there in the bearing sea fishing that's crazy she went from sword fishing to crab fishing that's awesome she's still at it even after all she's been through in the past losing her friend in the perfect storm of 1991 awesome she still accepts new challenges

i mean shes pretty useless, to be fair. all she really does is sit back and grip her chair for dear life. even when she noticed the flood - what did she do? investigate more? find out the cause? nope. meanders up to the wheelhouse, has a casual talk with the real captain about it and still doesnt actually understand the ramifications of whats going on and the situation theyre in. but yeah... shes great... i guess

When I learned this show was scripted, it bummed me out. Now that I know its fake, I still don't know why I watch these videos on YT. These boats can go years with zero issues, but on this show, its every ship that has an issue. Nick, before he passed spilled his guts on the show. Even Elliot Neese spilled the beans too. Yes, were they both addicts, of course. But for a drunk person, its hard to impossible to lie.

@@Apolloisbest I agree, the first few seasons seemed authentic. But in the last 10-15 years stories from captains started coming out on news podcasts, which you can easily find with a search on the internet. These captains are on podcast cameras stating that yes, the producers of the show added scripts, stories, and faked disasters. Don't get me wrong, the job these crabbers do is REAL. But with any show, the TV Channel they air on wants to keep the show running and they will do anything to add suspense and thrills, even if it cost the loss of a boat. For instance, I don't know what episode or season but the producers wanted to create a small pump leak in the engine room. Well, the leak got out of hand and nearly costed the boat and its crew.
