Just ran across this video. I worked with Tim for many years in 77th (7 to be exact). The AWC (Rangel) in the video was my classmate and partner for 11yrs! Best years of my were in 77th! A belated congrats, Tim.....PS. I sold your Vett, sorry!

My last official act, October 1997, was turning in my service weapon, badge & ID then walking out the back door. Just like that 30 years was over and I remember it feeling pretty strange, but good.

God bless the Wunderlichs and all the Officers of LAPD. Definitely an inspiring video. I just started my career but I hope I can retire with that same satisfaction that Officer Tim Wunderlich has.

That’s an OLD badge. It’s so worn down from being polished. Good luck Tim. I hope you are having a happy healthy retirement.

Don't even have to look at the hash marks to see how long he's been in, his badge has been shined so many times he has literally worn all the windows off the City Hall and it's just smooth and shiny.

Congrats on your retirement Tim! Great job on the video Joel! Agree with the other comment though, too bad you didn't get a good copy of the EOW broadcast from CommDiv.

highest gang homicides were always in Rampart. 77th and newton took over as the most "violent" about 10 years ago. Before that, even pacific division was on par with violence

How many cultures could say they have 3rd generation on the job, other than white folks. I truly remember in the 80s 77th was more divers than what see now

Why are they wearing ties? Isn't that dangerous? I mean, everything a perp can grab or even strangle you with is a danger, isn't it?
