Your videos you post is awesome! I'm a huge Scarlett Johansen fan! She is amazing as black widow just as Brie Larson is as captain marvel. They together with Elizabeth Olsen as scarlett witch are awesome. I also like the wasp played by Evangaline Lilly. The mcu has amazing female heroes. I just wish they will bring she hulk and spider woman into the mcu. I loved them growing up in the marvel comic books.

Just because she can kick ass doesn't mean we should like her. In other media she's probably well written, but in the movie, oh boy, those writers sure know how to take a good character and make her *meh.* The plot itself also lacked, big inconsistencies and plot holes. I watched Wonder Woman because it's Wonder Woman. I watched Captain Marvel because it was the last movie before Endgame.

I actually have no problem with Brie. My problem is with the poor writing of Captain Marvel in the movie. In other media I'm sure the character is quite good, but in this movie she was below average. Strong female character is a term thrown around alot nowadays, yet most of the time I find the term being used with female characters that are simply...not strong (unless of course you mean *physical* strength, in which case the term is always used correctly!) I should however elaborate what I mean by "strong." I see a strong character as being one that has purpose and motivation, flaws and growth, personality, and symbolism. Physical strength does not make a character strong, it just lets them punch stuff. With that in mind, Captain Marvel as a character is not very strong. She has a purpose and motivation, she has flaws but little growth, funny personality but not very emotionaly driving, and kind of gets the messege of freeing your emotions across but lacks the symbolism of female empowerment that people tend to believe she portrays (and yes, that is what they were going for in this movie, Brie said so herself.) If you replaced her with a male character, the story would play out the same, her being female had no bearing on the story whatsoever. Black Widow however is a fantastic "strong female character" as she has purpose and motivation, bigger flaws and bigger growth, better personality (IMO), and represents change and righting ones wrongs. She can fight too, but she fails, gets scared, and makes mistakes, just like any other human. I personally would find it offensive if someone told me "you are just as good if not better than those guys over there, you can kick their asses seven ways from Sunday without breaking a sweat and still look hot doing so. And why? Because you have *a vagina.* Yup, that's it, nothing else about you and your journey and growth as a human being matters because you are a woman with fighting skills...nothing else...and you only have these because it fits the feministic narrative we are trying to sell."

She only acts that way as Captain Marvel is serious, different, and was cold to the Avengers when she first arrived. She's only been in 2 movies so why be quick to judge?
