I never noticed until watching this that when Flint kills Gates he says "This is not what I wanted" and Silver says the exact same thing as he points his pistol at Flint at the end of the show. Truly masterful!

nice catch. flint dodn not have to kill gates, he was murduring ehat was left of his humanity,,,,and gates. gates biggest mistake was getting his apprentice, billy involved with flint

what I love about Black Sails is that all the characters can be the best or worst version of themselves, depending on the circumstances or if their interests are assured. They are all heroes and villains

I only found and watched this show earlier this year. It should be a war crime that it hasn’t gotten as much recognition as it deserves. Masterpiece of a series, on my second watch through

A villain? Yes, in certain points along the timeline. He was many things...but the true villains were the ones that set the circumstances for his path. To witness those you love be imprisoned or killed and you might become an unimaginable monster as well, in the eyes that fear and oppose you.

I fucking love this vid. It captures the true character of flint. I have watched an anime called Vinland saga and the character Askelad reminds of flint.

Captain Flint definitely shivers my timbers, the most masculine sexy man/character I've ever seen. This video is an amazing tribute, thank you.

I'd argue that Flint is more of an anti-hero rather than a villain. Somewhat similar to V in V for Vendetta.

My friend, all I can say is thank you. Very few people have been fortunate enough to find this show; a show that doesn't get worse every season like all its competitors, but 2x better. You did it justice, and explained to a t why Flint is the best written and acted character to date in the last decade of TV. The people who know this show shall be the people who knew great TV, and as such I hope something comes close to this for the sake of us all. Best show I've ever seen bar none. Thank you Black Sails

WOW! This is characther study on Captain Flint is an absolute masterpiece! I love how detailed and complex this feels, just as his character. The music of choice is perfect for him, it feels organic to the sides of Flint's psychology. For me your best one , black sails one of the most underrated shows of the 2010s , may have been put to the bottom of the list because of shows like got , twd and many other massive ones where in there peak and full throttle . Action , dialogue was Great.
