If you look at it through a Klingon lens, Duras' testimony rings true and gives Archer appropriate respect: 1. Archer is depicted as a man of conviction who declares his name and his command, and declares he will support his allies. 2. Archer goes to battle, knowing he is outmatched. 3. Archer uses a clever strategem to obtain victory. The only possible bad thing he says, *for a Klingon*, is to say Death to the Empire.

The last fifteen generations of Martok's family had been warriors (enlisted soldiers) within the Empire, before Martok became an officer, which would seem to rule out Kolos here (not a warrior) and also the Klingon Commander from Borderland (an officer). But Martok may have been speaking only of his father's line, and perhaps Kolos is a maternal great-grandfather or something.

I've always thought that every species of alien in Star Trek is an embodiment of human nature. The Klingons represent our barbaric, warrior like instincts. The Vulcans, pure logic and scientific analysis of everything. The farengi, greed and acquisition etc. It's just us at the end of the day!

Actually which ever species claim they represent you can always see their hypocrisy. Klingons claim they are honorable yet their society is often very corrupted which is the opposite of truth and honor. The Vulcans claim they are logical and in control of their emotions yet we see them often being arrogant and very discriminatory towards other races including their own. At least with the Farengi, they are greedy thieving bastards and they aren't trying to pretend they are something else more noble lol

Replying to a 4 year old comment,, you are right, these akuens designed to embody one trait of humanity to the extreme, taking your point further, romulans shows that if our roman empire survived and take over the planet, then to invent space travel, cardassians are military industrial complex influence on the state taken to the extreme with some of the soviat union and nazis ideologies thrown in. Borg obviously uas no human counterpart but I read that initially borg were planned as a insectoid race with a hive mind, but duebto budget constraints it was later changed to cybernetic which works great, and now I saw the use of mobile devices and wonder what if we are becoming more like them.

Something is not very consistent here. Klingons look exactly like in TNG although the time of Captain Archer is before TOS, in which they looked more like humans, without the mutations.

There's a reason for that. It's not an inconsistency, but rather a plot point for something that comes along later.

They call the ship of Duras a Battlecruiser and showed the D3(MAYBE D4) ealier in the series already XD Yea no dude, raptor aint a battlecruiser, its a great and powerfull ship but nowhere near what a proper warship would be. Also he could potentialy destroy the raptor with overcharged phasers again. Enterprise at that stage should be able to handle that better than back against the Elachi vessel.

To a lot of people, Enterprise seemed like more of the same ground that Voyager had tread. In fact, there were a few Enterprise stories that took directly from Voyager. Plus, the viewers didn't like the idea of messing about with the Star Trek story before Kirk's time.
