A sad detail in the last fight is that when Cap raised his shield for the finishing blow, Tony for a moment believed that Cap was going to kill him. Look at how he covered his face with his arms.

To be fair Cap did strike his head piece until he knocked it off. He probably assumed in that moment that he would have to kill him to stop Tony from killing Bucky.

@@stiles217 not true and if you watch the fight cap did have multiple chances to kill him. The only chance Tony got was before Bucky touched Ironman and distracted him and even then cap could have dodged it and Ironman did plan to kill him.

Looking back Civil war is a very important movie, is the reason why Thanos won, is the reason why there are no avengers, heck even after endgame there stil aren't, Zemo really broke the Avengers to the core, is really interesting how Stark though he was doing the right thing as a hero, but after that woman show him her death son he felt shocked, even after becoming a hero, even after changing Stark industries, he's still hurting people, and Steve was ok, but losing Peggy in this movie, losing his last friend from his past scared him, he didn't want to lose Bucky too, so he did everything that he could to save him, is really interesting how these two leaders were fighting for completely different reasons that they were preaching Personally I think that Captain America: Disassembled works better for this movie specially how thinks went out

You just explained what many people don't understand about this movie, that Cap was plain biased. If he didn't lose Peggy here, I wonder whether he would've been so scared of handing over Bucky to the authorities. And that caused all the chaos. Complete unnecessary chaos. Preventable chaos. Some people might say Tony was also biased as he felt sub-conscious guilt of his company's legacy, but the difference between these two is one is subjective bias, while the other one is objectively biased.

@@rudranshkapoor1738 and the Givernment was absolutely justified in it's actions. If I was in a decision making position inside the Givt I would've dropped 9 more nukes. Bur regardless of that, NY situation is in no way connected to Cap's moral superiority, this is the US soldier who helped them win WW2 foe God's sake, enabling recruiting of Nazi and Hydra moles like Arnim Zola. Did his conscience stop him then? Much of what the US govt is today is a direct result of Captain America. And he refused because he would've NOW had to hand over Bucky on signing the Accords. Like I said, a narcissistic hypocrite who has convinced himself "that he is right".

Having any government controlling The Avengers is a stupid idea, Steve knew that and stand his ground. He never tried to make excuses for what he was doing, but he was doing it anyways because it was necessary. Tony was in a dark place, having problems in his relationship with Pepper, dealing with his daddy issues, he had one conversation with a hater and completely forgot all the good The Avengers did, he forgot that he was the one that fucking saved New York from being nuked in the first place. And by the end of the movie Steve highlights his ideals even more, because after everything is said and done, he still believes in Tony and will help him if he needs, because in the end that's all that matters, fighting evil, believing in people and standing up for what is good. That's what superheroes are for.

What the fuck. You are insane. Tony was the right one. Cap trying to defend a criminal, assassin, SLEEP AGENT that can literally be activeted trhough words and put to kill someone + is a supersoldier, instead of putting him into a prision or doing what Tchalla did is insane. Tony wanting to kill him is the best option here.....

​@@MrAsthmatic No it didn't lol. Tony wanted "a suit of armor around the world" and created a murderous AI that tried to wipe out the human race. And Tony's signing of the Sokovia Accords resulted in the breakup of the Avengers. If he hadn't signed, then Infinity War would have never happened.

@@LordOfRock Why did you think Tony was trying to 'put a suit of armor around the world'? Ultron going wrong did not change the fact the idea was neccessary. What if proved Iron Mans plans would have absolutely prevented Thanos from Snapping, both with Ultron and Vision. And Tony was the one who was trying to keep the Avengers together. His agreement didn't break them up, Cap trying his hardest to protect a fugitive broke them up.

@@dylannathaniel1940nah Spider-Man, Black Panther, & Iron took the win in this movie. Even though they kind of lost especially Iron Man. Now I’m not for the glaze but Tony won that fight. He had Cap and Bucky on the ground. Those super soldiers have the potential to punch through iron and he still held through. But he did have a weaponized suit. But y’all have to understand if he wanted to kill Steve he would of. He only wanted to kill Bucky but Steve was in the way. He didn’t want to kill Steve, so he ruffed him up a bit to get to Bucky.

People keep saying who cares that Bucky was mine controlled he still killed Tony’s parents so Tony was justified. Wouldn’t this also mean a ton of others would be justified in attacking Tony as his weapons killed thousands of innocents like Wanda’s parents plus those people at sokovia(he created ultron) he might not have had control over that or at least the weapons part but neither did Bucky. So there logic is deeply flawed. I’ve also seen arguments that cap new ahead of time but he didn’t. Listen to what he said “he didn’t know it was him” the next part was admitting he knew they were killed. Not that he knew it was Bucky.

@@Junweitrustnobody1403 ya plus a few people can’t even sign the accords either for multiple reasons like Thor as he has his own people and can’t be ordered around d by other governments. Same with black panther. Then others like hulk who have bad experience being under government control. And imagine the process you would have to go through to even fight theses criminals. They need the approval of all of those countries which would take time and without most of the avengers as more than half did not sign the accord they would be spread very thin etc. so people don’t actually look at the accords as well and just agree tony is right as if they didn’t actually listen to the limitations being placed on them. Tony also did some pretty bad stuff during that movie that people forget. He imprisoned Wanda against her will(she didn’t really try to fight back after the trauma she just went threw and everyone accusing her) but she still didn’t want to be imprisoned as we can tell by the fact she did eventually have to fight or subdue vision to leave. Plus recruited a teenager to fight and risk dying. Broke the accords multiple times himself like fighting caps team in a German airport without permission from the country(Germany) plus without the agreement of all the countries who signed the accords(did the same when going to meet up with cap). Allowed black panther to go free after the fights and he didn’t sign the accords also.and much more I’m sure

Sadly this is one of the downsides for me of this film and those were the toxic Tony Stan fans. Don’t get me wrong, Tony and Steve were in the wrong in certain areas, but the majority Tony; but Iron Man fans are simple-minded and say some delusional stuff that doesn’t make sense that it ruins the movie for me.

I still put "The Winter Soldier" above "Civil "war", but that doesn't mean "Civil War" wasn't a movie loaded with depth, emotion, and constantly shifting feelings. The Russos just didn't know how to make a bad movie. I hope Marvel can return to a place like this.

I don't blame Tony's anger. Anyone would hate Bucky for what he did and would hate Cap for keeping that secret from him. Personally, Cap was stuck between a rock and a hard place on this like he said. If he told Tony, he probably knew he'd hunt Bucky down to the ends of the earth for revenge. If he didn't, well, we saw what happened. I would've explained to Tony about all this if I'd first found out and try to convince him to at least arrest Bucky for what happened instead of killing him.

I don’t think the casual MCU viewer realized that by The Avengers (2012), Tony’s Iron Man suits are all powered by their own integrated arc reactor. Though it was very endearing for many of the reactors in the video worrying about Bucky trying to rip out the arc reactor. If he did, all it would do is just power the suit down, much like Captain America smashing it.

Ya so Tony is also not excused for the thousands killed with his weapons innocent or not right? Even though he had no control of it they were still his weapons. Your argument goes both ways and is even worse in Tony’s case. Also even more of the avengers would not have been able to sign that accord like Thor as he is the leader of his own people and can’t be placed under the command of an organization.

I can't express how much I hate Cap in this film, I wanted to see Barnes die and Cap take the biggest beating of his life. Cap being victorious in the end made me not feel sorry for him in any subsequent film and put this film on the list of films I would rarely watch again

Howard and Tony were supposedly his friends but but because selfishly because Bucky was his friend longer he will defend and justify anything he does (even if it’s not his fault being mind controlled) with his hands. He deserved to at least get his ass best by Tony for killing his parents, but because he’s Cap friend he doesn’t deserve any repercussions in his mind. Neither do the Avengers for killing thousands of people and massive damage. Tony wasn’t all right, but he was damn near saintly compared to Cap in this film

​Age of Ultron was Tony and Wanda fault,and people died in Sheild were hydra and government fault,cap don't trust in government and Bucky was the victim as Tony parents,cap don't have problems with Bucky being arrested he just didn't want him to die or kill someone, Generally even Tony wouldn't try to kill Bucky, he only did because he was unstable in this movie with having relationship problems with paper averager broking up,guilt ,Rody accedent,half of his friends getting arrested and his parents death which broke him and at end of the movie both cap and Tony knew they were wrong in some point, and don't forget even T,challa helped Bucky because was the real victim in this movie, but you watched this movie to only ride Tony meat.
