I have come to hate the month of July as in this month, on the 3rd is his birthday, on the 7th our wedding anniversary (we were married for 22 years at his death) and on the 8th he died. I cannot let him go, even after all this time. I still wear my wedding ring and I have since gone on with my life carrying this inside of me. I was diagnosed with PTSD as I was abused in childhood and my life with my husband was the happiest, I've ever had in my life. I tried to move on, I even got into another relationship 6 years after his death but that turned out to be a controlling and abusive relationship, I have not attempted to go into another and never will. On July 1st, I lost a cat that grew extremely close to and considered her my companion and best friend. She belonged to my neighbor and for 5 years, this little cat became my best friend and I have a deep love for her. My neighbor moved away on July 1st taking my buddy with her. I asked if I could keep her as my neighbor was not fond of this cat, but she said no. When they left, I felt as if someone tore my heart out of my body just like I felt when my husband died. I have been mourning them both and been very low, I cannot stop crying and I feel stuck. When I listened to your reading, I began to cry as it hit all major parts of my life. Yesterday was the 24th anniversary of my husband's death and 1 week since my friend left. I feel hollow inside and I am having trouble getting myself out of this one. I don't want to speak or see anyone and feel as if I am living in a dark place. I have had a lot of traumas in my life and have always pulled myself out, but this time seems different. I had a similar situation, with a cat. She was my own cat. She was desexed & microchipped. I moved to another town. She was always kept inside with her cat brother-both indoor cats. She got out of my house & escaped. She ended up at my former house, 6 months later. My former neighbour, contacted me. She kept her there, for me. I drove there to pick up my cat. Maybe, your cat companion may come back to her former house? If your former neighbour didn't care for her cat, she'll go away. I was lucky to get my cat, back. I thank God, everyday, I got my cat back. I've always got on well, with most of my neighbours, in most places I've lived in. I had left my phone number with my former neighbour friends. I have gone through a lot of traumas but I know that there are others out there who are suffering worse than I am. What I have is my faith as God has taken me through all of my struggles.
