CAPONE n NOREAGA Could've Been Queens Best Duo! Stunted Growth Music

Capone-N-Noreaga (also known as C-N-N) Or simply Capone and Nore/N.O.R.E Queens New York, active since 1995
Queens since the beginning of hip hop has been a hub for rap talent. From Run DMC, Kool G rap, LL Col J, Mobb Deep and of course Capone n Noreaga. They were supposed to be next in line from Queens, and New York as a whole to rejuvenate New York’s gangster rap sound, with the potential to polish their style and crossover successfully into the mainstream. Their debut album “The War Report was important to east coast hip hop, as it front lined the tensions going on at the time between East and West coast rappers, and it came in a time the Bad Boy era was running the radio with their shiny suit, but mafioso style, equipped with smooth rnb hooks that became a secret weapon in hip hop, adopted by rap artist to this day. They were gritty, ready for rap war, and just on time to rep NY, which all helped Capone n Noreaga blow up into pre rap stardom. Once hailed as next up from New York, with all the right backing initially in Mobb Deep, Nas, Tragedy kadafi and of course their skill, as a group for these reasons they ended up missing the mark. What happened? CAPONE n NOREAGA Could've Been Queens Best Duo! Stunted Growth Music

I have to say no. Even though Capone was good, NORE always stood out on the tracks on that album. His flow and delivery was very unique. Not much of a lyricist though. Never been his forte. I felt like it would have been the same way it is now. Capone didn't take it seriously. But I do agree with Capone getting mad at NORE at the time. Signing with Jay Z was a bad move. Not at that time. That wasn't a good time to do that. In all, I would have loved CNN to have reached the same level as Mobb Deep but it was Capone who messed it up

No, they couldn't have been Queens best duo they weren't better than Mobb Deep period! And Tragedy wrote some of Nore's rhymes on the War Report so Kill that Noise they could have been Queen's best duo smh. And We won't even count Run Dmc as a duo since Jam Master Jay was such an intricate part of the group.

First of, The War Report is one of the greatest debut albums ever in hip hop. I dont know if East Coast hip hop would have strive at that point if this album never existed. Second, this episode was great. You really mastered your content. To a point, it's near flawless now. Lastly, I felt that would have never been bigger than Mobb Deep. Look at what they did in 1999. Murda Musik was huge at the time, with It's Mine and Quiet Storm killing it.

Back when Clue was on top of the mixtape game...he had the songs " LA LA" , " Stick U ", and "T.O. N.Y." , over 6 months before C.N.N . dropped " The War Report"...me and my best friend Juno were blasting their shit in our spot and in our cars...but my favorite song was " Closer" in which they had a couple of Hood singer dudes thug out some lines from " A Little Bit of Love" by New Edition...it proved that they had creativity and even though they got compared to Mobb Deep...they had their own distinctive sound...they were both hot heads but Noreaga was some what business minded and focused on making the group's brand successful...the whole " Thugged Out Entertainment " movement he carried it on his back as a solo artist...even though he had his ups and downs with Capone...he used his success to keep the group relevant and from Reggaeton to acting and the Drink Champs podcast blowing up...He remained loyal!

I disagree with this video opinions but there is no negative tone here. Love the breakdown and appreciate this editing. How about doing Tragedy next with the album "Against All Odds" which took years and promo with big pun, canibus, rza and more on the promo but never came out on the album which I personally had on preorder at where house music in LA for over two years which eventually was given to me by blockbuster music which took over and alerted to when it came out and handed off

One of my favorite Nu-Metal groups, Drop Logic, is a tragic example of stunted growth, and being highly obscure. They only released one (really good) album called Fear & Sunlight, and did the infamous intro to the early 2000s English dub of Initial D. I wish they'd made more music, since what they had was really good. Its impossible to find more info on them however.
