Interesting build. I like it. I didn't realize you could get so far without even leaving sanctuary. I started with almost the exact same SPECIAL on my current character but for a totally different reason. I wanted a nerdy kind of character that would use nerd rage a lot later on. I'll probably incorporate some of what you've done on this build to kind of have both, but not quite to the extreme you took this one :) I started with intelligence at 11 (now 16 with my gear) and took idiot savant right away at level 2 as well. I'm not sure I'd bother with idiot savant if I started over with such high intelligence. I get that the math says it's worth it in the long run (yes, I've read that old reddit post) but it procs so infrequently, even if you try to save scum when turning in quests. I'll probably just put those points to other things in the beginning and save idiot savant for my low int builds.

This would fit my Operator/Money Making Merc character I wanted to do a run with. Thanks. 🤠

Personally my “ultimate fo4 build” is idiot savant with at least 10 int when it procs it PROCS also it’ll eventually refund its own points anyway and 5 luck is a good start for eventually being a crit build.

Sick build idea. Im 10 perception 10 intelligence remainder charisma and currently setting up water farm thanks to your prior videos.

This is okay. The idiot savant actually isn't a massive boost to experience gain. You'll end up getting like 3-5% more experience overall, but it may not be enough to justify 6 points of investment (4 added to luck 2 added to idiot savant).

For those wanting some easy hubflowers plus a whiskey, the area immediately south of vault 111 up to the west out of bounds has tons of hubflowers and a blue tent with a whiskey. I had 14 hubflowers in ahout 5 mins before circling back and entering Sanctuary

Next up, that no cap rage.

Could also build a gunners farm for XP. Just so it's something more fun. Are you aware of any way to build the gunner farm where they can't attack you? Except for building it in a swimmable area, which is not possible at sanctuary. Would be very useful to be able to build a safe one in sanctuary. You can also build farms for carrots, radstags, yaoguai, and deathclaws. You need the carrots for radstags, and then need the radstag meat for yaoguai. And then yaoguai for deathclaws. Get the survival guide edition that gives you double meat. You can easily setup safe farms where they cannot attack you. Only problem is they take a lot of ammo to kill. Especially those high level deathclaws. I also realized, literally while typing this, that with this may work pretty well with the gatling laser, like you did in your build.

I think its fine to just kinda go off and do your own thing, I might try to create a build that isnt allowed to use caltrops or purified water. It definitely wont be as OP though

Ive played through fallout4 a handful of times on survival mode and i found this to be one of the most powerful and effective builds in the game however i originally reached this build very late in the game since i was figuring it out on my own. I wouldnt have guessed this build could start out so efficiently.

@@dezmundogaming8780 Unfortunately, the vendors share inventories across settlements. You will get caps added to your workbench, but it'll take a long time before it offsets the costs of building them.

I did make a video on my initial thoughts on the patch. I didn't have mods running so it didn't crash anything. Other people have said it breaks mods and even Creation Club mods they paid for.

This build perfectly transitions into a raider warlord build. Once you get somewhat powerfull Venture into the nukaworld and become a raider warlord, their settlements allow you to make a fully perked merchants without perking them, same with shared resources and other stuff. Most importantly you unlock these chem dispensers that once set up gives you infinite supply of chems, at this point chemist perk will allow you to make super drugs.... Hell! Use these drugs to legendary hunt a junkie weapon and make this game laughably easy

Do you put the stat point from the book in your home into STR?

You can. Personally, if I am doing something crazy like this, i will save the special book and use it on a stat that id already 10 to bring it to 11. For example, get 10 int, drink a beer to drop int by 1, and use the book. Then when the beer wears off, youll have 11 int permanently and the bobblehead makes it 12

Don't you worry that several water purifiers will drastically increase the chance of your settlement getting attacked, let alone attackers-win chance? Or will purified water stay in the workshop's inventory regardless of attack wins

I always move the water to a separate container. I also build a lot of defense. I set up turrets at the three attack points and also on top of a centrally located building

I wanted to avoid going that far into the game for the sake of this build. Eventually that will be good, but having a +2 charisma suit is fine for the beginning.

Has anyone ever had issues with Doc Anderson not having the recruit dialogue? I successfully followed the perfect playthrough strats on an old save, but I recently tried to implement them for survival and I got Ron Staples but Doc Anderson just doesnt have the recruit text. It just says like "What's new doc?" 25 settlers, 13CHA, tried two surgery centers.

I've tried a bunch of random things, Store and replace surgery center. Make a 2nd surgery center (Use both models of the surgery center). Assign the surgery center, unassign the surgery center. Waited for 21 pop, then 22 pop, then 23 pop. CHA clothes, all kinds of stuff. Getting tired of running from red rocket to the campfire spot to only have the dialogue missing again and again. Lol

Doc Anderson is literally one of the only level 4s I can ever get to work right. Vault tech sometimes. The rest never works.

What about the melon trade? I get more caps reliable over purified water. My water seldom restocks.

Melon is a nice little boost, but it's not enough, in my opinion. 5 caps each and they take huge amounts of space, plus you have to carry them to Abernathy. Your water should restock often. A huge thing I mention in the guide is that you must keep your aid tab empty (or mostly empty) otherwise the new purified water will not come in. That may be why you're not seeing new purified water.

You can be. Level 3 merchants still sell amazing stuff. Trader Rylee is the only NPC merchant that i think really makes a difference and her location is fixed so you don’t have to worry about finding her

So, bartering maxes out at 16 charisma or 11 charisma with the perks.

You could potentially speed up the process by maxing charisma from the start. The pace worked okay for me with 6 and charisma gear

More like the _Carpal Tunnelist_ build. If you don’t use scripts or turbo controllers, you’ll eventually have one of them prescribed to you by your Doctor.

You can just scrap and store your own copy of Blast Radius rhe board game until you have several thousand nuclear material. That's what I did. Used the conveyor belt and YOU'RE SPECIAL, to max out special. This game is so unrealistic idk why someone would spend so much time doing a water or food business or settlements in general.

It’s a single player game, so people should play any way they enjoy. If you enjoy that style, great. I prefer not to exploit glitches or dupes.

I get that playstyle but it just confuses me with fallout 4 because of how broken it is and how bad the writing is. I cheese and I still get frustrated at some of the stupid stuff. I can't imagine putting in all the extra effort then deal with a bunch of conversations where no matter what you say the response is always the same and is usually either really generic or meant for a specific answer. I'm not hating I just don't personally understand the appeal of that playstyle with such an unrealistic game.

Why do you people bother?Build shmild.Just play and have fun. If you missing something cheat it.Who cares?Just have fun.
