you do have up to 60days to add money to it that what they say so it still dictates yo to add money

You will not be disappointed. The app works flawlessly. The credit cards aren’t the best, but they aren’t the worst. The only thing I do not like about Capital One is their interest rates are not the best in the market.

Another bonus with the Capital One 360 Checking is that it pays a tiny interest. The current rate as of September 2022 is 0.1% a year or a couple pennies a month depending on how much money is in the account.

So as for me you only hold what you’re paying that month . Use your credit card card through the month pay one time bill at end of month after your savings accumulated interest then pay Or just have it come out of your savings One bill a month no debit card Easy and your savings is at 5%

My 360 savings is def NOT 5%! It started around 3% and is not that now. 😢

I love this account I have had it for over two years .. let's say you accidentally overdraft the account they will give you 24 hours to fix it .. no od fee etc or you can just make transactions decline instead of OD your account.. (this won't stop ach payments just debit card transaction)

@@StephanieRZ if you open two checking accounts then you will only get one debit card. In the app you can switch between which account the debit card accesses at any given time. So that if you go buy something it will take it out of the account you last chose. Now if you open a credit line account (where you buy something, you will owe interest if you carry a balance) then that is different. They will give you another card to access only your credit account. That is a credit card, not a debit card. If you have a partner and add them as a co-owner or joint holder of the account then they will also get their own debit card in their name.

Hey, I just turned 18 and want to open an account. One of the questions it asks is about backup withholding, and I'm not sure how to answer the question. How do I know if I am exempt or not?

I had my first 2 credit cards from capital one after falling on hard times and was able to recover no one would would help with a credit line until capital one gave me a second chance after defaulting on 2 of there cards.

How can I open it but I am not in USA... Or I want to buy the account I will use it to order goods with it

Capital one is available in the US Canada and the UK. Sorry if your not in one of those countries.

Just switched from Ally Bank as I've had enough of their non-existent "customer service." Capital One's sign up was flawless and instant. You're good looking, by the way ;)

Yes I hv Capital One and behind the credit card is a number you call when outside US so they can allow out of country transactions.

Capital One is a national bank, both virtual and brick-and-mortar.

Now the zelle is in correct..you can't transfer Zelle from one checking to your other checking because it asks for either email in phone number that's on the acct..if there the same it won't transfer using zelle

You can switch which account accepts zelle.. Just go into your account and turn Zelle on (or off).

I think I'm the only one who doesn't own a smartphone. every video over tech has some sort of smartphone in there. from app to website to lookup to photos anything. I just use my PC for everything no need for a smartphone

if you take a card to cvs they charge load fees.

just opened one with capital one checking. I got an email from them and they said i have to do 4 things. 1) Make first deposit 2) Download Mobile app 3) Activate debit 4) enroll in direct deposit by giving your employer/payer your account and routing number. Do I have to do number 4 ?? Do u have to deposit employer payee to capitalone to open with them? this is weird to me

With phone check deposits they hold your money for 10 biz days

Regretting opening a checking.. the two day early pay is the biggest lie.. They hold my direct deposits two days AFTER it deposits and hold mobile checks for a week.

Correct. My other bank has my direct deposits two days in advance. Capital One should get with the program. If other banks can receive direct deposits two days early Capital One should be able to do it also. Very disappointed.

I recently opened Chase checking account and I have had Capital one checking for over a year and Capital One credit card for over 3 years and every payment on time with zero issues. Well with Capital One you can't even log in to your account as many times as you want in a day because at some point you will get a message saying you have maxed out of your log in limit try again in 24 hours. Maybe for this reason alone I should stay with Chase Bank and forget about Capital One banking.

I love chase online pmnt option bc the amount comes out of your balance immediately. CapOne doesn't show the new balance right away. 😢

Just signed up so tired of Wells Fargo shuffling my transactions over the weekend in the order they want to process them so they can get overdraft fees out of me! Hope this works better!

I was denied in July for this. They sent a letter saying about my EWS score. Capital One might not use Chexsystems but they use Early Warning Systems which is the same shit but different name.

I got denied because I owed another bank. Once I paid them off I was able to get it.

I had a car loan with Capital One, I have a credit card with them and checking and savings accounts and have had to call them for various things. Always a really great experience and they worked with me very reasonably during covid when I had to defer a couple payments. No complaints here

Will company policy stand in the way of a common sense solution to a problem because of where I turn that's what I'm told why should I trust Capital One I got 30k to deposit if really to pick up a phone and check my story don't have to take my word for it there is proof that I am legit and nobody will lose one penny if they cooperate

@@CityChristina Some people like to stick with one bank. Then, they also may one one checking account where all of their deposits go and where their spending money is while the other checking account may be used for paying bills. That is one of my guesses.

With some Capital One ATMs, when you insert your debit card the prompt lets you choose which checking account you want to interact with.

One account is to pay bills, another for recreational stuff, another for pet expenses. etc. Multiple savings accounts too for different types of savings. one for an emergency fund for example. I have a bunch of accounts for different things, including business.

Well no Capital One branches in Minnesota.

@@Bluegreenred if I were you I’d just look for a local bank if you are wanting one in person. Otherwise a bank like sofi is great for an online bank.

I'm a little new to Capitol One and although so far I do liike the service I don't like that the online bank login site does not offer 2 Factor Authentification.

this is lousy customer service as possible, i made payment few hours late because their website was down, still they charged me late payment fee and didn't agree to waive unjustified fee.

Their APP is horrible!!!!! , The worst bank app I have ever used. CANNOT deposit a check, app will CONTINUALLY Crash.

I just want to know what I have on there wants me to remember account info I'm like this is a waste
