I'm just getting my drz400 ready for some trips and took it out today for a +5hr ride mostly bitumen @100 km/h to test fuel consumption with my 17L Safari coughed at 370kms, lent over and then coughed at 407kms so time to use the bladder, get yourself a screen it is heaps more relaxing

Nice mate! I got around 420ish with reserve on another outback adventure. Not a fan of the screens, at least on bikes that don’t come with one. But definitely would be welcomed on the highways.

Glad you found your camera.... you haven't had much luck with cameras and Go-pro chinmounts this trip.... lol. It's been awesome watching both you and Lance's videos... I hope you guys do another trip sometime.... Cheers.

Man eagle vision. Nothing worse then trying to find something lost on the side of the road. To only did you re trace your steps back to when it was last seen, but we’re able to find it if only to get the sod card. I know a lot of guys use the 360 but personally I’m not a fan of the fish eye look so I wouldn’t of traded fuel trying to find it but it’s a asset and there’s always the possibility it fell off and wasn’t destroyed. Yes it has some cracks in the screens but it still seemed to record video as it should. Thanks for sharing man, both you and lance have teased the ominous breakdown coming, looking forward to it next week

Bugger about the 360 mate, I've lost/broken 2 so know the feeling. They're good to deal with (online forms) and/or home insurance, personal items covered them but not drone. PS my little gps fell off the bars in single trail yesterday and luckily backtracked to find too 😂

Good video Josh. For future reference, Palmer River roadhouse is just north of the junction of the maytown road and the main highway. Cheapest fuel on the cape. Only 15ks north of the junction, or thereabouts.

@@_JoshJB_ no problem. Also have the best Parmy you’ll ever eat. They are monsters tho, gotta have a good appetite. Great museum at the roadhouse as well, details the mining history of the area as well as a couple of the legends of the Cape in the early days. stay safe.

When we came down through the Palmer River, the crystal clear creeks were a real contrast to the dry dusty country. We should've spent more time there to appreciate it a bit more.

Jeeeze Josh, you are damn lucky to have found your detached 360. That would have to rate along with the proverbial finding a needle in a haystack..! Have to you ever thought of tying a short length ‘safety lanyard’ onto it so that if it comes off the bar mount again at least it will still stay attached to your bars with that short length of safety rope..? Also, carrying a small fuel bladder along with you sounds a bit like overkill, ..until, you need it, ..hey. 😉 Keep the ‘fun’ coming, we are all loving watching it. 😉👍

He offered mate, but he had things to sort out in town so it was easier for him to continue on to do that instead.

Unlucky to lose the camera but very lucky to find it and then not run out of fuel.
