Portuguese colonised so naturally there is a Portuguese influence the locals on the island speak Portuguese and their own languag dialect which I do not know the name of. There is a very very small community here in Ireland a famous footballer called Richardo lopes who plays for my local club shamrock rovers is half Cape Verde he was born and rared in Dublin with a Cape Verde father and Irish mother but speaks with a Dublin accent just a little knowledge probably there most famous player they play in the Afcon although it is off coast of Africa probably seems odd as it tends to be that Latin type of influence in Cape Verde looks a hidden gem really the island good video pal 🇮🇪

I been thinking of booking this place a few times and always bottled it when looking at the hotels they state 5 star but don’t look it 2 me seems like it needs a few more years then place be perfect looking at your vid seems a bit 2 relaxed 4 me I like more bars with English music but place looks ripe the the picking start a English bar out there think could make a killing sometimes I wish I didn’t have a good business in uk because I hate this place but can’t walk away from the money wish I had the guts 2 go and start over again but it’s hard when your living pretty good

Never been billy but a mate of mine said theres very littlle infrastructure ,and a bit rough,dont look bad tho😂
