Cape Palmerston - Mackay Regions Best Beach Camping

G'day G'day,
I continued my adventurizing onwards to Cape Palmerston, This would be the 3rd time visited. Every time it's shown us great weather mixed with bad. This time was no exception. I didn't film any of the storm that hit as it was some of the heaviest rainfall I've experienced. Especially whilst camping. It did kind of ruin my plans for the following day and cut the trip short. However, although not too happy at the time, I was able to see the positives and lead me to adjust a few things in the setup to counter act that type of weather in the future. More on that later. But lets just say it was a very wet night and the Kings awning and side wall didn't do too well.

Beautiful coast line ! The rain was a bummer but looks like you had a lot of fun regardless. Your campfire looked nice !

Cheers Grorge. Definitely a top spot. Has given us all kinds of weather all 3 times we've been there. But oh well. All pary of the adventure. Not too much damage aside from the awning wall.

G'day Sebastian, thanks heaps mate... Yeah you can drive up the beach. High tide is no good but pretty manageable an hour or two either side of it.

Oh well that's camping, I think we've all got stories like that. Where did you get your stretcher tent from? You need a plastic scoop for your detector. Cheers Mate.

G'day Peter, yeah the plastic scoop is on the to get list. I bought the stretcher tent 2nd hand. I'm not sure they sell them anymore. But it's an Oztent Jet Bunker. Just got the mrs the Dune equivalent from Anaconda. Will feature in future video in a few weeks hopefully

@@ogplays9139 hmmm... "technically" if you head into the beach and turn right. You might find a spot that is outside the NP. Other than that. If you look up a hipcamp, mushroom Valley is a private spot with a beaut swimming hole. Just depends what you want mate? Bush, you'd have to find a waterhole in this heat I reckon.
