Oh yes it was awesome. Started around 4:30 am and chased the fish all the way down to the east end until 10:30 am. Crazy morning

“That fish is so big, great job!” -From my 5 year old daughter that watched this with me and wants to go to the canal to catch one now haha.

I have 2 setups. This one is a odm 11 foot Evolution custom 2-8 for topwater. 2nd is a 11 foot odm jigster 4-10 custom.

You can keep fish between 28 to under 31 inches. The rest go back. And 1 a day if you want.

Yea I use 50 lbs power pro braid to swivel to 80 floro

I was using my custom ODM Evolution 1 piece 11 foot rod with Daiwa Saltiga 14,000 and my buddys lefteyelures pencil. The guy in the blue makes them.

@@jakemasci9018 if I was you go with the saltiga. Bigger gear better knob feels more solid. I had both in my hands saltiga is the way to go in my opinion. Go check out the KZread comparison with both reels. There’s a video on them
