Cap'n Jerry - Tyler Childers & Highwall UNRELEASED
Музыка
The Red Barn Radio KZread channel was taken down recently. While it came back up, it was missing "Cap'n Jerry", a song Tyler Childers did on Red Barn Radio with Highwall. Luckily, I had downloaded the audio portion of the video.

Lyrics: I roam these hills carrying the fox I found And when I’m tired I’ll lay it down And get myself a drink of water But I will keep on through til I’ve reached your door Lay the hide out on the floor Give you Cap’n Jerry’s fifty dollars. He said he’s sorry he could not stay But there were things that couldn’t wait He’ll be back when he tends to business But I feared you’d think the cap’n was an unjust man So I thought I’d lend a hand And bring back the debt he owed you Chorus: And who knows along the way I might find myself a reason As to why I live this way Runnin’ up and down these dirty streets Throwing my money so I don’t sleep alone. Look straight ahead Aaron is on his way Ridin’ for the same old thing I guess it was perfect timin’ Cause my heart is strong but my bones they ache But they always do these days From livin’ like a drunken heathen. Chorus: And who knows along the way I might find myself a reason As to why I live this way Runnin’ up and down these dirty streets Throwing my money so I don’t sleep alone.

I can't get enough of the Appalachian country and bluegrass sound, I live in Chicago!!! grew up on Classic rock, blues, rap and RnB. Thanks for the upload Ethan Bean!!!
This is gold!
I can only compare Tyler, to the all time great sonwriters, Lennon and McCartney, Dylan, and csn&y. However, for quality, quantity and depth of material. He's the greatest ever. It doesn't matter what you listen to or where you come from. When people say music today is awful, i say, we are living in a songwriting golden era. All these writers from the same area; Stapleton, Zach Bryan, John r Brown, brent Cobb, Chris Knight, not to mention Colter Wall and singer of broken window serenade?
Get it Red I like the song dude it badass like all your songs brother
love it
Out here doing gods work, brother
