I think one of the things that intrigues me about this religion IS the attempt at blending Western and Eastern faiths together. Countless times has this been done throughout our species' history and I think the pinnacle aspect of this is the faith in a deity named, God, but a practice of seance.. which usually is practiced (to my understanding) in beliefs systems like satanism and wiccanism... and probably others I have not named. My goodness.. what a splendid delight we have among us to have so many ways of understanding the world, our own existence, and the universe :) Now... if only there were some of us who did not cling to the idea that one's own understanding is the entire truth of the universe...

I left my neighbouring hometown for this divine land, Tay Ninh Province several years ago and I am now living here inside the religion to learn carefully about this religion, Caodaism. Please kindly let me share one thing with you all: "Faith and Wisdom are the most invaluable treasures, whereas those left are worthless." His Holiness Dharma Protector Pham Cong Tac taught in His book of "How to perfect oneself". Therefore, I, a Caodaist, humbly think that when anyhow one is lucky enough to hear or know about this religion, he or she had better spend real time on learning meticulously about It in order to understand and have faith. I would be grateful if you could consider doing so. Do have a meaningful life!

I am happy you found your peace in believing in and worshipping Jesus Christ and Christianity, but other people believe in other religions and that is fine as well. You are in no place to tell them that their religion is not true, that they are not safe or that they will not find true peace except in the religion you yourself believe in. Acceptance and happiness for others will heal the world.

Actually, Cao Dai was originated in Tay Ninh province of Southern Vietnam, near the Cambodian border. In the beginning of the establishment, the religion recruited worshippers by crude force. My parents was born in this province and they said the Cao Dai people would kill anyone that didn’t want to join their religion. This was also a reason why it was banned at that time.

scorpioninpink Christianity was mostly a pacifist movement until the 4th Century CE and was persecuted minority religion then. Conversion by the sword came much later, and most religions have some history of violence at some point

@Curious Entertainment, why should the all seeing eye be weird, when talking about the creator? Doesn't the all seeing creator see everything, and know everything so it should not be weird. Now what i find weird when it comes to religions and their symbols are the cross and the fish , the star of David and the crescent moon with the star. It is as if these three religions are quietly saying "yes we proclaim monotheism ( one divine creator) , but we are by no means going to let go of our Pagan roots.

Why wasn’t this told you Us here in America of the Cao Dai. I’m sure those Black soldiers knew of Cao Dai religion it’s a shame the secret sayings are band, it must be every powerful. There are many religions in Vietnam and Cao Dai is a minority religion. To say US gov went to war over this religion has no merit. Cao Dai itself is a polytheistic religion that believes in multiple beings, one of them actually being Jesus.

Ideally, Nguyen Thànnh Tám does not understand Cao Dai in a basic way. Religion and Faith are completely different. He said Cao Dai unites the traditions of all the religions in the world...How foolish!! Pham Công Tắc was detained for 5 years on the island of Madagascar under general Decoux of Fascist. It was not until 1946 that the French allies (general d'Argenlieu) returned to Indochina to release Mr. Tac and the French supported Cao Dai religion. There was no such thing as a misunderstanding as Tam said. There were three French political blocs- de Gaulle ally with the US, French Communist and Socialist, Vichy ally with Germany- at that complicated time.. In 1997, the communist government created the Cao Dai Sect and assigned Nguyen Thanh Tam to lead this faction. The 1997 Sect and government forcibly occupied all the properties of Cao Dai Religion. They have continually persecuted the Cao Dai followers who don't get along with them. Read the Annual Report from the Department of States to know more about the Cao Dai situation. Mr. Freeman may be a victim of the millions of victims of the atheistic communist regime. Large crowd comes to worship because they consider the Holy See still of Cao Dai religion.

I think the biggest misconception of mankind is to think of one entity being the divine , the creator or god. the force of creation, also called love is everywhere throughout the universe, its in every person in every being even in every thing. Just as there is a destructive force every where. the ongoing stream of energy between those forces is what makes life.
