    Good bike. Just got mine but a bit disappointed with the range. I would love a bigger battery. Like some if their mtbs have .. 700-900 watt hrs. This one bareky cuts it for my 54 mi. Ride & thats on eco, all the time. What's the point of having all that power if its prohibited to use because of rapid discharge!

    What puzzles me about these e-bike reviews is that I see more and more young, obviously quite fit guys buying and using them, and I have to ask why. I always thought the e- bike market, particularly the road bikes, was aimed at riders who, perhaps through age or some unfortunate disability/illness problem, could not cycle as they used to so switched to some form of electric assist. It never occurred to me to consider e-assist until I was in my late eighties, when the hills were getting too difficult, and my distances and average speed had dropped significantly. Finally, when I hit 90, I added a simple, light, friction drive kit to my road bike, which has been very good. For me, and many others, no doubt, this was a sort of last resort, but I still ask the question, why the younger and fitter?

    To explore longer and go further… you can turn off the support altogether or turn it on on an incline. This bike doesn’t feel like an e scooter and can give you quite a workout.

    Where did you get 100 mile of range from.? It’s a little over 60 and that’s assuming you ride mostly flats and on Eco. I had to turn off mine several times and remained on eco to get 70 miles out of it.

    You are correct, I had meant 100km range. Thanks for pointing it out, I will update that in description.

    I have this same exact bike and color. The range does depend on the road condition and how heavy the rider and stuff you carry. I'm 178cm 155lbs 180ftp. I have a size S which comes with 650b wheelset. I carry 2 bottles of water and a saddle bag with basic tool for flat and spare inner tubes. On ECO mode riding 95% flat, 40%on drop and 60% on hoods. I've done 87 miles with avg 20mph and got home with 4% battery left. This bike is pretty good bang for the buck.

    Thanks it’s a great bike…. If you like drop bars and want an e bike this is the only choice in the price range with carbon frame. The group set can be better, but with e-bikes you don’t change gears as often. Feel free to ask me any questions you have.

    Hello. What happens if the battery is completely discharged? Will he go? Are you comfortable with this steering wheel?

  • @simplymusic487

    @simplymusic487

    The battery discharge has no impact on riding the bike. You can continue to ride and steer as normal it’s just that you would be riding a 35 pounds bike so will drain you faster then riding a 20 pound bike.

    @@Magnus_E Its a tough choice, non e-bike are easier to carry, load and take around. The e-bike allow you to go further and explore more. If money is not an issue, e-bikes make a lot of sense, if you bike occasionaly, then standard bike can be a lot of fun!

    Hi. Thanks for review. Do you know if the Grail On CF7 is compatible with the Bosch Powermore 250 RangeExtender? I have failed to find an answer online. I did find a link as to how to check your system for compatibility if you already have a CF7: kzread.info/dash/bejne/ap2cyNRvkcLXcrg.html I you are able to check your system for compatibility that would be much appreciated.

    Finally got through to technical chat with Canyon. The CF7 is apparently NOT compatible with the PowerMore system as is does not use the Bosch smart system but is based on the older Bosch Ebike System 2. Cant retrogradde the Purion 200 display. Shame.
