Canyon Dream Bike Build | Aeroad CFR Mathieu van der Poel
For our very own Andreas Walzer - head of Canyon’s Pro Sport department and former World and Olympic Champion himself - it was only right that Mathieu van der Poel should be one of the first riders to get his hands on the new Dura-Ace.

Nice bike. But happy I managed to buy one of the last - classic Ultimate CF SL8 with Ultegra 8000 rim brake/mechanical. For 2400 euros a 7.0kg bike.

@@durianriders While disc brakes are the newest gadget on the market, classic rim brakes on road bikes still have a lot of advantages: Rim brakes are frequently up to a pound less than disc brakes. Aerodynamically, rim brakes are superior to disc brakes. Rim brakes are less difficult to fix.

I like being able to work on my own bikes, this video shows me that in the near future, I will not have the patience to do so.
Never understood ASMR until I watched this film. Fantastic.
Was one of the happy customers who got a new Aeroad last autumn. Since then this bike turned into a nightmare. All the problems regarding the seatpost or bars aside - my frame broke and Canyon is just not responding to my mails. When they respond, it’s a copy and paste text with mistakes. This just can’t be how to handle customers which paid that much for a bike.

Man, that sucks! Have you tried contacting them on their website using the live chat function? That's always worked really well for me in my country.

I'm on the waiting list. It was "fall", then "october" and most recently, "November". I totally get supply chain problems but it's so hard to wait especially given the eye candy in this video. I just hope I can get mine while there's decent riding weather left.

10:56 In order to achieve good gear shifting performance, these have a forward side and a reverse side and must be fitted in the correct orientation. Front (outer side) The side with the mark is the front (outer side).

I recognize some of these bike part standards.
I would have preferred the white blue combination as the current one looks a bit stale. I was also worried that the mechanic would break the handlebar or seat post while assembling the bike :))) would be great if canyon provided some news on what they have done to fix the previous problems

Funny, the last time I dreamed of a Canyon it was a nightmare. The new groupsets pricing available these days are way out of what I believe makes sense for a bicycle. I'm looking for a fixie or single speed now.

I looked at the website and saw Canyon's cheapest bike is equipped with Tiagra. Why not seek out a different brand with Claris or something similar instead then? Or is it just $800+ and up for entry-level is what you mean when you say pricing is way out of what makes sense?

@@TheSoulBanana No, I'm glad they are pricing this stuff so it's like reaching for a star. It just solidifies my resolve to get a FIXIE. It's really their lose not mine because I'm still going to have fun riding a bike, it just won't be a Canyon.

you don't need an expensive groupset if it's your first bike. I'm very happy with my full-equipped tiagra groupset (Canyon Endurace AL 6.0). I got it in May 2021 Maye next year or early 2023 I will get my next bike which is the Grizl CF 8 or 7.

I like fixies but sadly there is a lot of low quality stuff out there to watch out for. I had a horrible experience with FabricBike Aero which I wouldn't wish upon anyone. Most of the top bike brands don't make fixie/track bikes or discontinue them quickly. I got a Ribble Eliminator AL which is great but they discontinued it.
