Thank you for this tutorial, how do you know what we are allowed to use legally (copyright etc) from Canva for t shirt designs?

I check for trademarks on a site called trademarkia. In terms of the graphics on Canva you can use any so long at they are not a stand alone, meaning you must add other graphics or text to the design to make it original.

Do both. You want evergreens that can sell all year every year whether you work or not and you want to try for some trend because if you hit one just right you can make a lot of money in a short time, but trends don't last and that money will dry out.
