    🙋‍♂I think you can find research papers of smeared crack model and based on that you can perform the simulation🙌

    @@vineeth9295 I did find some! but inserting the data in Abaqus is different from theory .. I was hoping to see someone did it in Abaqus.. I have the data in theory ready.

    Hi! Just a bit of confused about the Max Principle Stress. The Young's modulus you input is 300e9 (300GPa), but why the MPS is only 100 (Pa)? Thanks!

    Good Observation Aoki Zyo , I checked the simulation and in that I used Maximum Principal stress as the failure criteria with value as 100 Pa and keeping Youngs Modulus of steel as 200Gpa. The MPS value should have been kept as the yield stress of the steel somewhere around I think 250 Mpa according to MPS criterion. The value 100 Pa was assigned so that crack could propagate easily.

    Thanks for this video. I've got into a problem when trying to recreate this example. When I try to submit the job, an error pops up saying that there isn't a section assigned to the crack part. Any idea how to solve this?

    You have to give atleast one dirichlet boundary condition

    As you are talking about tube the length will be large, so try to use plane strain condition and check

    I am not sure but Permeability means ability of fluids to pass through. So will the usage of membrane element help? Edit: Just guessing

    Hello@@vineeth9295, thank you very much for this quick reply, It is not happening, idk why. If I carefully watch your video at 3:38, you assigned only to the cantilever beam, if I am not mistaken but did not to any crack plane. Even if I am doing a manually it is asking for thickness, with any thickness it is giving an error as 'Too many attempts made for this increment.
