Hi, I got the ts705a but when I put compatible ink cartridges it doesn't recognize them, is there something to do?

If your Canon printer isn’t recognising a compatible ink cartridge, this may be because the data on the cartridge chip is stamped with an empty status before it was remanufactured or it may be remembering the status of the last cartridge that you used. You can fix this by disabling the printer function that monitors the cartridges. Hold down the stop / cancel button for 5 seconds to bypass the ‘ink has run out’ message and your cartridge should work. The cancel button is a red button that normally looks like a triangle in a circle. Your ink cartridges will no longer report ink levels but they will start to work correctly

I'm looking for a cheap photo printer, this one has 5 inks, it should be much better than the ones with four, do you print photos on it?

No i dont but a friend of mine does. Ive had a few prints from him of the kids and they look great. Never tried it myself because i use it only for edible prints

So I just get the printer at a electric store and order edible ink, paper and that's it? No programming needed just the right cartridges?

It can print edible and regular but you can't use it for edible printing after you have used it for regular printing.

Mine is printing in black and white any idea why? Only bought it today

No not at all. They are just regular inks

@@tsav1613 The printer comes with some free ink. But it's not edible and should not be used to make edible cake toppers

It seems this has gone up on Amazon can only find for £149

What's the equivalent model in the USA?

What's the difference between ts705a and ts705?

The only difference i can find is that the TS705a does not have bluetooth

I also have the ts705a amd it doesn't recognize compatible ink cartridges, so better avoid if you want to use

If its all set up according to instructions given by canon and you mean the actual printing onto edible ricepaper/wafer card/ Icing sheets. These are the settings i use to print on wafer card and icing sheets. Hope you can see this image i.gyazo.com/575cdc4f6e0b9a107107172e5eeb24dd.png
