Hey man, does this camera have a back button focus option? If not, why? Im fairly new at photography (hobbist) and I had a cannon t3i and my life was changed when I changed the shutter to back button focus on that. @@TechThroughTheLens What I want in a tutorial is to easily follow along, and by the time the video is done, be good to go *and* understand why I did the things I did. You nailed it. I’d been using this camera sub-optimally for years… so thanks! Yours is not the first tutorial I watched. My complaint about the camera is that it can’t seem to achieve HD (or even a clear picture) through clean HDMI.

Thanks for the video. A question about Movie rec. size: Is FHD 25.00p also ok? The options on our camera are: 4K 25.00P, FHD 50.00P, FHD 25.00P or HD 50.00P. Maybe it is because we are based in Europe?

Wanting to purchase this camera but wondering if the content creator package is worth it? I can’t find any info on the canon microphone it comes with. Do you have a video on it by chance?

Just purchased my canon m50 mkii and I love it!! Quick question though, I am based in the UK and iv bought this to record for a KZread channel where I will be doing product reviews on airsoft guns and equipment, I’d like to film using 24fps but as I’m in the uk the PAL setting doesn’t offer that option, only NTSC! If I switch to the NTSC setting to allow me to select 24fps, will I run into any problems with filming/quality/editing/uploading etc even though I’m in a PAL region? Any advice or info greatly appreciated 😁

You probably figured this out by now, but there are plenty of converters (online and hardware) that will do the conversion for you - if you still need to do that.

River I got a question. I had Nikon D5300 but it fell and got damaged so I ended up buying a New Cannon M50 Mark II. My question is can I attach a Nikon DX 35mm F/1.8 prime lens to this M50. I bought an adapter but didnt work. Can you give what are budget 35mm Prime lens for this camera.

Great video! What is the time recording limit for mark ii? I’m deciding between the mark ii and xt 200 but xt200 can only record up to 30 mins. Also, which is better for a beginner who just wants to rely on the default image output without doing any editing and offers a user friendly interface?

Get the m50 mrk 2. It has clean HDMI so you can hook up external recorders to get past the 30min limit. It also does wireless webcam and direct streaming to KZread both without the 30min limit.

I have the mark II and i seem to be only getting 100 fps in the high frame rate and im missing the 60fps in movie rec quality. im in video manual mode. Am i missing out on something ?

Thanks for a great tutorial although I would disagree on the 24p as no real pro uses that anymore to avoid jerking and ratcheting video. Most content creators use 30 or 60. I do commercials and documentaries for NY ad agencies and they ALL state right in their instructions NO 24 Frames.

Make sue you set up your bracketing and also shoot in a faster drive mode. It won't work in single frame.
