Is there an adapter going the other direction? I'm so disappointed to find out I ordered two lenses that are EF-M and can't fit on my EF camera. I'm seeing all kinds of adapters except a EF-M to EF body.

Kind of, you can buy EF to EF-S/M backplates and just unscrew the old one and replace it. The problem is if you're putting an EF-M lens on an EF body, you'll get vignetting since Canon EF cameras are full frame and EF-M lenses are meant for APS-C or "cropped sensor" cameras. Either that or you will have to use it in cropped mode if your camera supports it (but this comes at the sacrifice of less megapixels, which is already usually lower on full frame cameras meant for video). If you're talking about EF-M to EF-S, then you can simply buy an EF-S backplate for your specific lens from ebay and replace it. With regards to using EF-S lenses on EF/EF-S speedboosters, if you have a zoom lens, you can sometimes just zoom all the way in (extend the lens all the way out) and pop the little black protruding plastic out from the back element and it should fit just fine. I recommend the youtube channel "Zeek." for all kinds of Canon hacks/DIY stuff.

Thanks! I didnt know there are adapters that adapt two mounts at once. I really have a bothering question: for the R7 (which I plan on buying in the future) is there a way to SOMEHOW adapt sigma16mm EF-M to that R7 mount? Both are 1.6x crop..

There isn't any EF-M to RF mounts. EF-M lenses are strictly for EF-M/EOS M mirror less cameras.

is the original Canon adapter significantly better than the Viltrox adapter (which is 1/3 the price) i wish your video covered that ^

I'm looking for some small body camera to carry around instead of 5d MkII and consider the Canon M200 for example. IMO this adapter is too bulky (plus lens) which defeats the purpose of having a small body. Buying the EF-M lenses when I have already EF ones just makes the whole transition the same as I would just pick other camera brand :/

found it: focal length is DECREASED by 0.71x and you lose 1 f-stop aperture. So the "nifty 50" EF 50 f1.8 becomes EF 35 f2.4.

i have canon 200d sl2.. is there something that can enable me to use ef-m ??

No, it won't, this is designed for the EFM lens mount.

I have used both adapters, I think the Canon one is a little bit nicer but they both work fine.
