Canoe Crappie Fishing

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

me and Roscoe are in the canoe down in the swamp looking for some slab crappie. I never did find the big ones but I did get a mess to fry.

Thanks for taking me along on the fishing trip. You need to learn Roscoe how to paddle the canoe. He's smart enough to figure it out.

Hey Justin! It was good to see you & Roscoe in the canoe fishing... and that they were biting! I am glad that the rest of your family is on the mend and recovering. It was surprising to learn that the deer in your neck of the woods are so aggressive... that a rifle is necessary to take along as well when fishing! Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha! (I could ALMOST type that with a straight face!) Between your fishing & Roscoe chasing squirrels... it looked like a good time was had by all! Lake Wesson awaits! Take Care & Enjoy!

I used to ride in the front of a canoe with my boyfriend. He was an excellent fisher person and an excellent oarsman. We traveled all over the creeks and rivers around here fishing and hunting and camping. He also had a rat Terrier that would travel up front between my legs. We always packed enough to stay out for 3 or 4 days at a time. I love being on the back waters for sure.

I used to creek fish for crappie when I lived in Oklahoma. I'd fish on Chouteau Creek close to the Neosho River off of 428 (I think that's right), east Tulsa headed toward Siloam Springs. I tried fishing for them with beetle spins, etc., but I found that doodle socking around brush and tree tops was far more productive for big fish, esp in the Spring when the fish head toward the nest. They like stationary water but if the creek doesn't rise or fall too much they'll stay on the nest and in the brushtops, just waiting for you to slow drop a stationary jig in front of their faces. In addition to that slower approach, you could drop jigs in front of every stump or limb you have in that creek. The old bigúns like to hang close to the cypress stumps in water so shallow it would surprise you....places you'd never expect.

Just how much did you pay that little bass to follow you around and bite your hook?? The things folks will do to make content.... Baby Bass Bribing! Contributing to the Delinquency of a Small Fry! An old window weight would be handy to drag and slow your roll if you can find one. I need me two or three myself
